Looking for resources on UK/European fútbol. Recently began to appreciate the sport of soccer. Looking to learn more about the English Premiere League and Champions league, and UK & European soccer in general.

Looking for resources which cover everything from the basics ("everything you need to know about ___") to daily sources (fan blogs, websites) to more unique and historical (how different clubs/fan are perceived/reputations).

Help me find good international music

I'm responsible for providing music for a local soccer tournament styled after the World Cup. It is a celebration of the various cultures of the immigrant communities here, and I'd like to play as much music from the participating countries as possible. Can you help? I have asked the team captains to help out, but I don't want to rely on them as they have many other responsibilities between now and the weekend. The countries represented in this year's tournament are Columbia, Macedonia, Ecuador, Ireland, Brazil, Iraq, Jamaica, Guatemala, Iran, Liberia, Albania, Togo, Ghana, and El Salvador.

It's non-profit and I'm a volunteer committee member, so free music would be wonderful. Music available via Amazon, iTunes, and emusic would otherwise be preferable because I have accounts on those sites already.

Please help me understand the immense popularity of soccer (football, futbol) worldwide. And ... ... why it still continues to languish in the United States. Like basketball, it seems like a constantly moving, fast-paced game that the American sports enthusiast should enjoy. The rest of the world has certainly figured that out. What is it about soccer that the world knows and Americans don't?

Real Madrid Tickets, Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, More inside... Has anyone ever bought tickets to a European match (specifically La Liga) on-line from the US?

Any advice on where to go as well as how not to get ripped off? The match I'm interested in wouldn't be considered a big rivalry so tix should be available. I checked some of the immediate google search results and the tickets seemed way more expensive than I expected, anywhere from 70-180 Euros.

I paid approx. 20 Euros to see a Champions League match at the same stadium in 2001. Have they gone up that much? Thank you much for the help-

I want to watch this Friday's (June 30, 2006) Argentina vs. Germany World Cup soccer match with other Argentineans in Los Angeles. Where can I do this? My Mom's out of town, my Dad lives far away and I don't really know any other Argentineans. I don't really have very much money to spend on a special closed circuit viewing of the match. Is there an Argentine sports bar or place in Los Angeles that I can go watch the game at? I want to yell and celebrate with my people.
