Hi, Can anyone identify the maker of the bed in this picture? It's from a house renovation project done by the firm LOT-EK in New York. I'm guessing it is something that is still made and hopefully available, because I want to buy one! Please help!
I need a new bed frame, and I found one that's hitting a lot of my buzzwords: it's hand-made from locally-sourced hardwood by a small business. And at $280 (Canadian) for a queen, it's less expensive than comparable beds from IKEA. So I'm assuming it's made by someone in their garage. How can I tell if it's well made? [more inside]
The wheels on my bed frame are broken or absent. Supposing I am not at all a handy person, and the bed sits on a hardwood floor -- am I better off buying new wheels for the frame or caster protectors? What is the easiest possible thing to install that would look decent and allow the bed to be moved without damaging the floor?
I'll soon be purchasing a new bed and mattress. I have sleep apnea, so it's especially important for me to choose the right ones. And I don't know what I'm doing. [more inside]
The Mrs and I long for the give and bounce of the cheap mattress she had in college. But shopping around it seems like none of the new mattresses have that great springy coil bounce we enjoyed so much. What are we missing here? Is there something specific to ask for? Do I need to go super-cheap off-brand to get what we're looking for? [more inside]
I have been unsuccessfully searching for the perfect new bed and just saw a super good one but... on a mattress website. How can I find the bed that the mattress is on? Hope me!
I'm getting a really nice queen-size bed in a few days and I want to outfit it with top-of-the-line, premium pillows, sheets, covers, blankets, and a world-class mattress pad. What's the best that money can buy?
When I moved into my apartment, the previous tenant left behind his kid's twin bed, which has been sitting in a corner covered with books for the last year. I want to finally get rid of it (on Craigslist or similar) but I have no idea what the asking price should be. Details inside. [more inside]
We have a king-size bed (Mattress, boxsprings) that is just sitting on the floor of our bedroom, taking up a big chunk of real estate and looking sort of shabby. To free up space, I would like to move the bed into a narrow alcove-like part of the room. This means we wouldn't have room for nightstands and so need a headboard w/ shelves. For aesthetic reasons, I would like a frame to cover the sides of the boxsprings. No need for the bed to be raised, it will still rest on the floor. For money reasons, I would like suggestions on how to build such a thing myself, or recommendations for good but economical products. [more inside]
I rent a bedroom in a shared house, and my bed belongs to the room. It sucks and I need a new one. It's a double, but I have room to go bigger if it's not a big price upgrade. The new mattress should be fairly firm, but thick enough and squishy enough that I can lie on my side comfortably. The bedframe can be very minimal, but it should also be high, a meter or more elevated for storage purposes. It must not wobble. [more inside]

We have the Sanford metal headboard featured in this set. We would like to have the footboard (as featured in the product picture) too but an afternoon in the company of Mr Google turns up nothing. Any ideas where I can get this or a similar black metal footboard without buying a whole new headboard and footboard set? Thanks!
