I'm looking for a (men's) hair stylist in Austin, TX. I'm changing careers, moving from conservative to more creative and funky, and want to update my hair style.

There's a keyboard solo technique used in funky, upbeat tunes that is based on simple, high-pitch synthesizer chords, played really fast. I don't remember any specific tunes with this technique, but I'm thinking of 80s bands like the Commodores, for some reason. Can anybody help me find examples and maybe some theory so I can emulate it? Probably involves some pitch bend, too.

Christmas toes filter: I'm about to travel half-way across the world to spend the holidays with my brother's family and I want the two girls to think think they have the most awesome-es auntie known.
So here's the question... Red and green toenails. Should I do one foot red and the other green or alternate colours? I'm open to other patterns and ideas as well. I want them to giggle.

This morning my husband and I woke up to discover that seemingly overnight our house has begun to reek of what I can only describe as a strong burning hair smell. We haven't started using our heater or anything like that yet, and nothing has changed in our daily routine. Any suggestions on what might produce such an aroma?

A few years ago, I remember grooving on a funky version of Auld Lang Syne. It was by a male artist, vocals plus either solo guitar or guitar driven. It was in a folk-reggae style similar to
I’m Yours by Jason Mraz. Ring any bells?

I have been teaching myself guitar over the past few years and I still don't understand how to structure and play a guitar solo. Let's say I am playing a simple blues progression (I-IV-V) ...I have taught myself the blues scale... but when do I play what note? And do I need to move the scale up/down the neck in time with the progression. I want to be able to noodle an original solo... not just copy something already recorded.

How can I keep my Handi Wipe and my scrotch bite sponge from getting smelly? These usually only last for a couple of days before the *stench* I personally call *the funk* settles in. What strategies are ther for combating the funk?
