I'm trying to find an article from the past year or two that discussed a general difference in how men and women spend their free time. The article posited that women are more likely to pick up activities that require work/responsibility (volunteering, etc), and men are more likely to pursue activities that are more fun-based (sports, etc).

Last minute role playing date. Ideas on what to bring/do? SO and I are having a date where we pretend we've never met. We're both fabulously rich and famous (in the fantasy, that is...). What's fun/easy to bring as a gift for my date, or to do?

My fiance and her lady friends and family are getting together tomorrow for a bridal shower in our Brooklyn apartment.
That leaves the guys (all different ages and all different interests) in the family with the chance to go hang out and do male-bonding stuff. I'm going to check to see if there are any interesting sporting events on tv tomorrow afternoon, but that aside, what should we do that will be fun and low-key? Bonus if the place is relatively close to a G train stop.

Planning a vacation for one. Something within driving distance of my home. Something relaxing, interesting, surrounded by nature and quiet. Wouldn't mind a place that offers up meditation classes perhaps massages etc. I live in Iowa again prefer nature setting but am willing to travel. Anybody know of something in this area that fits that description?

My friend & housemate has a big birthday weekend planned (London, Thursday – Monday). There's an itinerary, filled with lots of amazing things (spa days, aquarium, shows, etc.), but in the event that some of these places aren't wheelchair accessible, we need some back up events planned. What are some great places to go/see/party in London that are definitely wheelchair accessible, relatively easy to get to, and would be able to host a party of 3-8 people at the last minute with minimal hassle all around?

Half remembered craft article - a cute gift made with an egg. You pricked a normal egg, sucked the contents out, then bored a little hole in it. You could then roll up a nice little note or something, slip it in the hollow eggshell, then conceal the hole by making the egg spotted - sticking circular stickers on the egg including one covering the hole. I think the egg was also spraypainted gold. It was a pretty cute idea, anyone remember this?

Hello, this is my first question! I have a super cool friend visiting me from the east coast. We used to go dancing back in the day and would like to go out this weekend. We are looking for recommendations for a nice place to go dance in Portland, Oregon. We are hip chicks in our early 40's, and we used to dance our booties off to house music in NYC but are now sadly out of touch. Last year we danced at Halocene, which was pretty fun, but we are wondering if anyone has a favorite place to go get sweaty.

Want to start school and get our life on track, but how? I've made some mistakes in college by not showing up an entire semester so my GPA is 1.05, even the lower university's here in TN like austin peay won't take me because my grades suck. I live a hour away from the two community colleges in my area. I also have to figure out how I'm going to give my family a place to live, I lost my job in missouri and moved down to TN with my mom.
