I'm going to japan from march 9 until april 6, and I want to climb Mt Fuji, from the bottom to the top. How much snow should I expect? How cold is it going to be? Do I need to bring boots and 3 layers of technical outdoor clothing or a warm jacket and sneakers? My lonely planet says its doable, but thats pretty much it. If you feel like throwing in some other "Can't Miss in Japan" places to visit, feel free.

I will be in Tokyo from Sept 16 to Sept 23. Will I be able to climb Mt. Fuji or will it be closed off? If so, what should I expect? Will camping facilities be open?

Who should I return my faulty camera to?

I just bought a new camera through Amazon.co.uk. It's faulty. Who do I return it to and can I get a replacement quickly? I just bought a new Fuji Finepix S6500fd from Amazon.co.uk (not the marketplace sellers, just the regular old Amazon). The first day it was fab, and the second day all the pictures started going extremely white with horizontal striations through them. New batteries, new card, same results: bah humbug.

So, obviously, this is a fault of some sort (from quick search, sounds like a CCD sensor problem), and I want to return it. As it's only two days old, I hopefully shouldn't have a problem doing so. But I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks and really hoped to get a replacement back before then.

So: do I return it to Amazon, or through the Fuji service centre (assuming this is covered by their warranty)? Does it matter? If it doesn't matter, who's likely to give the best (read: fastest replacement) service? And do I have any hope of getting a replacement before I leave for my vacation?

Where can I find an external flash unit for the Fuji Finepix S20 Pro? I've been searching for an external flash unit for my Fuji Finepix S20 Pro, but all I have found so far are slave flashes that are triggered by the existing flash. However, I'm looking for something that will attach directly to the hot shoe, but I'm not turning up anything. Does anyone know where I can find a flash that is compatible with my camera?

Gaijin going to FujiRock Festival, what can I expect??? I've been in japan about a year now and am planing a trip to the Fuji Rock fest, I've got my tickets, car pass, and camping pass. Sooo,
**how big are the camping spots?
**can we build fires there (to grill), should we bring all our own food?
**will they let us park at our camp site?
** will alcohol and will there be people there selling recreational type "party favors" there, or do I need to find that before I go?
** whats the police presence like
** Whats the Male to Female rations, what can a lonely white male gaijin expect.
** Please any advies for someone that has no idea what to expect.

I have an SCM eUSB Smartmedia card reader that I got with my Fuji MX-2900 camera a few years ago. I need to locate the Mac OS X driver for it. I had the driver installed on my laptop, but my laptop was stolen. I looked for the driver and contacted SCM directly, but the product is discontinued and not supported. Does anyone have the driver or know how to get it?
