What's the best use of 2000 Air Miles (Canadian), or 4500 American Airlines Frequent Flier Miles? I'd like to use up my miles, but both companies have convoluted websites that make it very difficult to compare the different things you can redeem the miles for.

If you can be flexible on when you travel, how do you find future travel dates available for minimum frequent flier mile usage? I have lots of ff miles on NW Airlines. I'd like to take a trip or two. But it seems the only way to book them is to start with the dates and places you want to go, and see if something is available. Usually, all that's available requires double miles. What I'd like to do is provide departure and destination points and get back a calendar showing available dates of travel using x amount of miles. So, for example, I could put in travel from Chicago to Rome and back, and find future dates when this is currently doable for 50,000 miles, etc. Any ideas? Thank you.

In the next couple of months I am going to start flying frequently (probably weekly) between Chicago and New York and Chicago and DC. I am currently a member of US Airways Dividend Miles, but they don't have enough flexibility in flight schedules for me. I am trying to decide whether to sign with United or American (I'd like to stick to one airline whenever possible to get status, and I'll likely pick up their credit card as well). So, I'd love to hear feedback on the two programs: which treat their customers better, which have more perks (more upgrade availability), etc. Thanks in advance!

I have an Intel Imac that I bought roughly a year ago. I connect to the internet using comcast and an Airport Express. Recently, I added WEP security to my airport, for obvious reasons. I also changed the airport channel to 7 (and then 4) from 11 because I was getting lag while playing Xbox Live using a wireless adapter (I live in an apartment with many wireless networks around me).
Every since, my computer just decides to leave the network about every 5 minutes. It's SO ANNOYING. I only have to click on the network again to rejoin, but does anyone have any ideas? I made both changes at the same time.
