I'm looking for free OS X or Windows software that will allow me to draw a room and furniture to scale and move things around to find the best layout. Extra points for simplicity and ease of use.

Where to play piano for free in NYC just once? A out-of-town friend wants to play piano in NYC: are there public spaces with pianos? A way to play at a church? (And note: I just mean play for playing sake, not play for an audience.)

What's the truth behind duty-free shops? Are they always a bad deal? Or is there some stuff that's good to buy, and other stuff you should always avoid?

I will be putting together a resume soon. However the exact dates and other details regarding some of my past jobs escape me. Is there a site that will give me my job history? Everything Google gives me requires payment/enrollment is some service. I want free and no attachments, is that doable? Subquestion, best resume putting together site/application/thing?

The Staten Island Ferry is said to be "one of the best values in New York City" because it's free and offers great views of the city. What are other "best values" in NYC, including shopping, food, activities, and anything else that's surprisingly inexpensive. [more inside]

How do normal people go about finding casual sex? For someone who thinks that taking advantage of drunk girls in clubs is immoral and adult match-making websites are scams or dangerous, is there any outlet to meet nice (albeit frisky!) gentlemen and ladies? [more inside]

I am looking for a good website for free clip art. I have googled but come up with rather lame clip art. I am putting together a one page memo and wanted some cartoonish things like aliens and comic book like designs. And I am using Word 2004 for the Mac.

Please recommend a free online address book for my slightly technophobic step-mom. I've found a bunch that might work, but not having any experience with them, I don't know which are safe and which are going to sell her info to spammers. The easier to use, the better.

What Part/Full-Time Jobs Allow Lots of Reading Time? So far I could come up with: lifeguard, parking lot attendant, pet/house sitter, night-time babysitter, and security guard. What are some others? Pay is not important. I will be working another job for the $ and get my study/ready done during this one.

How can I monetize this? Yes, I'm looking for places in New York City that will give me a free ice cream (or something else) in exchange for a quick glance at my ID. Preferably places that don't require me to be under 12. Thanks!

I'm looking for an online, free address book that my partner and I can share -- so we should both/each be able to log in to access it, rather than it being linked to just one person's email address. Bonus if it provides a good way to handle address-book entries for, say, a married couple (i.e., two people in one entry), and bonus if the user can choose/configure which fields any given entry contains. Must be usable on a Mac, preferably w/ Safari.

I'll be travelling in the US (mostly California) in January, and looking for free (ideally) or very cheap (no contract) nationwide dialup service. I've downloaded Juno (http://www.juno.com) to try it out - though reading the reviews, it doesn't sound promising. Wondering if anyone have any experience with Juno and/or if there are other suggestions out there.

Here is an example... My Boss: "We want to use the Can Can song. Our music guy has done a recording for us. Is it in the Public Domain?" Me: "Yes. The composer, J. Offenbach, has been deceased since 1880 and if we are doing our own arrangement we are fine." My Bosses Boss: "About 5 years ago, I tried to clear this song for use in a TV production and discovered that it was NOT in the Public Domain. Elle Vator, can you research this and let us know the answer two months ago?" [more inside]
