You're sueing me for WHAT???

Legal/debt collector woes: I was just served papers saying I am being sued by a debt collector for non-payment of $86. I am fairly certain I have paid this bill in full, but they are refusing to give me any kind of statement or accounting showing I still owe this amount. What can I do?? [more inside]

UK phone fraud: Someone stole my phone and rang up £3000 of calls to Nigeria. The phone company says it's my fault for not keeping tabs on the phone and I have to pay it. Is there anything I can do? [more inside]

Old, Fraudulent Debt Comes Back

How to deal with an old, fraudulent, debt? About 10 years ago, someone racked up $750 worth of phone calls on my phone line. When the bill came, I reported it to Verizon (who was then called Atlantic Bell, I think), and told them the calls were not mine. [more inside]
