Where would you go in France if you had a week to get from Paris to Geneva? My husband and I (early 30s) are planning a trip and am not sure how to fill that space or where to go. We would prefer trains to renting a car, and the only restriction is that we'd like to spend a night or two in Annecy. [more inside]

I'm staying with friends on the border between Switzerland and France for about six weeks this summer and would like to find a school that offers intensive French lessons. Ideally I would leave for France sometime in the beginning of June and stay until mid-July, though my dates are flexible. I speak intermediate level French now and would be willing to come into a course a little late, if necessary. Thanks!
