A new person started at work recently and has been trying to get the company to change course and use the tools they're used to. I've been taking the brunt of it and have ended up being really defensive. How can I be more assertive with this person, but also not end up coming off like a jerk? And how do I learn to work with this person? Snowflake stuff inside.

I want to start a serious and large scale (for me, anyway) web project. Could you help me decide between CodeIgnitor and Symfony, as well as figure out tools/scripts/libraries/methods for some of the goals I have for the site?

This may be so simple as to be a waste of a question, but help me out: I have a bunch of dress shirts that are traditionally hung up, but due to a (favorable) change in my dress code at work, I’d like to take them down and put them away to free up some closet space. I seem to remember there being some sort of framework/insert that you could buy and insert into such shirts that would help them keep their shape better or not get permanently irrevocably wrinkled. Any idea what these things are called and where I could buy them online?

I'm planning on starting a database freelancing business. I understand a lot of people prefer Microsoft Access or FileMaker. With the current evolving trend of applications going on the web and add to that my somewhat good experience with PHP, HTML, Javascript and CSS I'm seeking a cross platform efficient application environment. This is why I believe Access and FileMaker are not an option, I'm also more experienced with high level languages than I am with Access or FileMaker.

I'm trying to install the Eve3 framework on a Powerbook G4 in order to run the Magic Bullet Suite 2.1 plug-in for Adobe After Effects Pro 6.5. I have the downloaded framework file, but when I copy it to the Frameworks folder, the UNIX Eve3 executable file changes into a document, rendering the thing non-functional.

PHP Application Frameworks. Google and the other usual suspects seem to be pointing me toward the big guys, but I'm not looking for an enterprise-level framework, rather a smallish, lightweight tool that will--given some kind of definition information--render a reasonably simple administrative interface; i.e., the kind my grandma could use. I've been working on a homegrown version as a stopgap, but does anyone have any recommendations for something like this?
