I used to play a FPS on my PC back in the 90's. I can't remember the title of it, however I remember one of the weapons.

When we left our heroine, it was 2002 and she was an avid JRPG player, wise in the ways of the spiky haired menu-based combatants. She returns, older if not wiser, to do battle again, in--okay, wait, what are all these games, and why do they expect me to know how to play them already? Help me find some training wheels, experienced gamer-types.

My home built gaming PC has sub-par FPS. Nothing is obviously wrong, how do I go about diagnosing the cause? I don't know where to start. Lots of details inside.

Trying to remember the name of a game that dealt with you being a character in a world where Apophis struck and devastated the world. First person, I think. A Fallout 3-style of things if I remember decently.

My sister
loves playing co-op shooters. Can you recommend any? Our systems are the PS2, and a PC running Windows XP that was middle-of-the-road 3-5 years ago (so no Army of Two, thank you). Freeware/shareware/indie are great, but so are huge blockbusters. It just needs to have as long, good, co-op section.

Hope me find an older game with co-operative multi-player.
I am looking for older technology games (video cards at least 2 years old) that allow LAN players to team up and fight AI opponents.
FPS preferably, but RTS or other game suggestions are welcome.
Please don't recommend RPG's this is for casual play without time investment.

Did you play first person shooters in the early 90s? Help me figure out the name of this obscure and relatively mediocre WWII game based on the incredibly limited amount of information I remember about it!

I'm giving away an old tray-loading iMac (256MB, either 266 or 333Mhz, I really can't recall right now) to a friend and have loaded it up with productivity-related stuff. Now I'm looking for games I can download. Freeware and shareware, preferably, as opposed to warez (although if you care to recommend a NES/SNES/etc. emulator ...). In particular, is there a decent FPS I can download for this machine?
