My mom is TERRIFIED about the recent Health Care Reform Bill. She is on Medicare and is certain that she will no longer have the access to health coverage that she feels she needs. It sounds like changes to Medicare could have consequences for her... what might those be? [more inside]

I type the word iphone a lot knowing It should be spelled iPhone but I'm lazy and would rather just right click it and correct it. I know I can right click it and add it to the dictionary but what I want it to do is give iPhone with the capital P as a suggestion. I have already added iPhone to the dictionary but dont want to add iphone because its the wrong spelling. My friend complains about the same problem when it comes to Facebook he spells it lowercase and wants spellchecker to give him the option of spelling it with the capitalized F. Just as it would if he typed amsterdam and it would suggest Amsterdam with the capitalized A. Is this possible to fix? Thanxs in advance.

I'm looking for musicians who've decided not to be on MySpace Music (because they don't want to provide free content/traffic for News Corp., because they don't want their work next to ads, or for other reasons related to MySpace). Where are statements, blog posts, etc., by such musicians? Your own thoughts on these issues are welcome too.

On a typical day this year, Fox's audience is 845,000 while CNN's is 466,000.^ As a proportion of the US population (c. 300,000,000^), this is less than 1/300, or 0.28% (Fox) or less than 1/600, or 0.16% (CNN). How come they wield so much influence?

Yet ANOTHER Election Night Question: What network should I be locked into on Tuesday night? I want fairness, either by straight non-partisanship or true balance, good solid analysis of what each state's results mean as we go, and some personality and banter to keep it interesting. ABC? CNN? MSNBC? FOX News? (hah. just kidding about that one.)

How many TV stations are there nationwide? ABC, NBC, FOX etc. have different listings for each market and would therefore be a seperate station to work for. Bonus for who has the best looking news anchor in your market.

I've been watching 24 this season and it has gotten me interested in epidemiology. Can anybody suggest a good layperson's resource, either on the web or in print about the topic? I'm looking for information on how diseases spread and how the situation gets out of control. I've done my googlework, but most of the stuff seems to be to advanced for my current understanding or not very informative. Case studies and response projections would be awesome.
