I'm looking for a forum that hosts discussion in the field of condensed matter physics and/or materials science. I'd like a site where scientists can go to ask and answer questions, similar to Ask.Metafilter, but a general forum would be good as well. Does anyone know of such a site?

I am a grad student in the physical sciences and I've got questions, but I work in a small group on a project by myself so a lot of the times I have simple questions that can take a while to dig out of papers. Is there a good forum or message board that is generally accepted to be useful for posing questions and such? [more inside]
