Technical/pedantic football (soccer) question: In tonight's Albania v Holland Euro 2008 qualifier, six minutes of stoppage time was indicated, if I am not mistaken. However, the referee blew the final whistle after what I believe was less than 94 minutes, after a spectator threw fireworks at or near a player. This incident seemed to be the direct reason for the ref to call it a game. Given that according the Laws, the indicated stoppage time is a minimum, shouldn't this game technically be considered terminated or abandoned?

Bonus question: what exactly is the difference between a "terminated" and an "abandoned" game?

I want to seriously improve my football (soccer) skills. I play fairly often in a mixture of 5-a-side games and an 11-a-side team, but my skills are improving very slowly as the games don't involve any training, just playing and you only get the ball for a fraction of the game. I was hoping for suggestions to make up some kind of training plan of my own as well as getting a better understand of football tactics. [more inside]

Help me put together a CD mix of songs that make reference to football (soccer for the yanks) or football clubs. I don't want inane fan club songs sung by players. I'm looking for songs by known musicians, preferably but not necessarily with a rock bent. I can think of a Cristy McColl song in which the line "England 2, Columbia 0" is repeated, and there's the Rod Stewart song where "Celtic and United" are mentioned. There's the Scottish folk song, "Football Crazy, Football Daft." What else is out there?

Fantasty Futball: After a couple of years of playing fantasy baseball and fantasy football (American), my pals have decided to level our playing field a little by creating a fantasy league for English Premiership games (mostly in order to give us a vested stake in watching the games, since we're Americans without the loyalties of home squads). Regarding this— What should I know about the English Premier League? Who are the players to watch? Who are the teams to love? Who should I develop irrational hatred for? [more inside]

I've played soccer my whole life, compared to my European brethren I know very little about the sport (and its stars). Anyone know a good book about soccer/football that will allow me to speak with authority when someone references Michel Platini, Franz Beckenbauer, or even Cisse or Ronaldinho?

Also, if you've been watching the World Cup, you've probably seen this great commercial (different from the question below). Does anyone know what the song is?

My dad, a lifetime Liverpool FC-supporter, passed away a few days ago. Before his death he specifically requested a special version of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' to played at his funeral.

The problem is we can't find a recording of it.

The one he wanted was the acapella version of the song that was performed by a nine year old boy in Liverpool Cathedral as a part of the Heisel dissaster memorial service.
If you know the name of the boy or any other information about a recording of his performance please help us.
