Food is nourishment and a source of pleasure for everyone I know. For me, food is those things as well as being deeply, unhealthily tied to emotional satisfaction, happiness, self-love, etc. How can I stop having food be an emotional crutch? Snowflake details inside.

Around 2 weeks ago I decided to actually properly recover from my eating disorder.
And I am hoping that some people here with relevant medical knowledge or personal experience might be able to give me some advice on how to proceed and information on what I can physically expect, as the information given online is often very contradictory. I live in a rural area (UK) and have had very negative experiences with the local medical professionals/counselling services (I also get the impression that most GPs will not be very well informed anyway) so I am attempting to do this very much on my own.

Okay, this is a bad time to be without money and there's nothing I can really do to change that immediately. I am on assistance. I have food stamps that can buy only food stuff. Because of last minute car repairs and things like extra gas for appointments that I couldn't miss with government agencies, I have zero on the cash assistance (non-food side of food stamps).
I slowly developed a cold today. It's just a cold. Sore throat, coughing, running nose and headache.
I have Tylenol for the headache, but my throat is killing me and coughing keeps adding to the burn.
There's no money for non-food cough/throat stuff. No cough drops or meds.
What can I buy that is a food item that can make my throat feel less like it's been scraped with a brillo pad with each cough.

[Grossness warning] I accidentally ate food that was tainted with a small amount of feces. I am concerned about parasites. How do I take care of the fallout, and what are my best human deworming options? Everything I can find on this topic (information and, annoyingly, worming tablets too) seems to be geared towards deworming dogs, cats, and horses.

I'm considering eating meat again after more than a decade of being a vegetarian. I'm looking for blogs or long articles about going back to meat after a significant period without it. I'm looking for people talking about why the change happened and how they re-acclimated themselves to meat. I would also welcome articles about people who struggled with it but stayed vegetarians anyway.

My best friend and his girlfriend both seem to have a rather unhealthy relationship with food. This isn't currently at a critical level for either of them, but I think in the past it has been, and I'm worried that it could get like that again. I'm particularly concerned that they rely on each other quite heavily for emotional support and that in this area they may not be best placed to help each other. Am I right to gently suggest to each of them that they seek proper help for this? What resources could I refer them to, or how could I suggest they might best go about getting the support they need? We're in the UK.

Now I'm just feeling frustrated by some nit-picky things she does and I want to know if I should address them at all, and how not to be insulting or irritating.

I've been told I'm a very good conversationalist, but when I talk to people, I often get nervous about silences. This leads to two problems: 1) I compulsively fill in silences with questions or comments, in a way that eventually exhausts me, and 2) if food's available, I tend to impulsively snack and mindlessly eat to have *something* constantly happening (admittedly I often am munching away even when there isn't a silence). Any tips on changing these behaviors?
