Which standard recipes, with meat as a key ingredient, have clear vegetarian analogs? Examples, to be clear: for every hamburger, there is a veggie burger (eggplant, cauliflower, etc). I bought 2 pounds (the smallest size I could find) of plain whole milk yogurt, not realizing that there was an almost-empty container in the fridge. So now I have all this yogurt with a best-by date of August 5. What are your favorite ways to use it? My 75-year old mom has always been naturally thin, but for the last couple of years she's been underweight to an unhealthy level. She seems worse now. Help me rock a lentil spread! I tried the new Trader Joes Masala lentil spread and while I like the idea, I just wasn't crazy about the taste. I'd like to make my own using red lentils and tahini as a base (like Trader Joes did), but after this, I'm kind of stuck in a rut.
