We're a family of four with two girls, ages 5 and almost 2. Need to keep grocery budget around 100/week. We like to buy organic fruits, veggies, and milk. How do you do it? Examples, lists, all helpful.

I am traveling to Wellfleet , Cape Cod for a week this Saturday.
I would like to do a lot of cooking for my aging mother and need to do a healthy shopping on the way from Logan Airport.
I would go into Boston to Whole Circus and Trader Joes, but it is not really on the way.
Where can I go for a good grocery shop, preferably with a decent organic selection, that is in between Logan and Wellfleet, MA
Thanks!

I'm growing an organic garden with a friend this year. This morning, we harvested lots of salad greens and I took a paper bag of them home. They have not been washed, and they are in the paper bag sitting inside my fridge in the crisper drawer. How many days do you think it is likely they will last? Is there anything I can do to keep it fresh longer?

A budding entrepreneur friend of mine is making a 6 day trip to New York end of May. She is looking for inspiration on and exposure to the organic & slow-food movement in the area. She is passionate about honest food and has built a small business around this passion.
Do you have any recommendations on restaurants, shops, conferences and hang-outs that would give her a good impression of what is happening in New York with regards to conscious eating / slow food / organic food?

Sure, there is "Organic" food at my local grocery store. Yet it's difficult to be sure that the items brandishing an "organic" label are the real deal.

I'm having a hard time finding information about the agriculture and trash systems & practices in Europe. Basically I'd like to know where my food comes from and how waste is disposed of when living there. When I pick up a piece of produce from Portugal, I want to understand what that means.

I can't always make it to my local farmers' market, and I'd love to arrange regular weekly deliveries of organic fruits and vegetables. I'm in London (NW3). Google turns up
a ton of possibilities but I'd prefer personal recommendations. Any suggestions? If anybody has suggestions for delivery of organic meat, eggs, or dairy products, in addition to fruit and veg, I'd be interested in those, too.

Along with some foodie friends, we're having a "winter of offal." The idea is to expand our culinary horizons, and show respect for our food animals, by getting together every few weeks and learning to cook *excellent* food from organically raised trotters, entrails, and other bits commonly thought of as nasty. This week, I'm cooking beef tongue - so suggestions for that are particularly welcome. But any and all gourmet offal (not awful) recipes would be great.
