Browsing through my logs and exploring the links leading to “25 Best License-Free Quality Fonts”, I accidentally discovered
Delicious and
Fontin – two unique, delightful, delicious, license-free beauties, which definitely will make a lasting positive impression on the visitors of your web-projects.
However, there is a problem. The fonts can be used only on a Mac-PC, which means that I don't have any use of them whatsoever. So how could I convert a Mac-font to PC-font? Are there any freeware tools which would convert the fonts without loss of quality?

I'm getting another tattoo. This one on my leg, maybe six inches long. A capital "E" for my grandfather. I'm looking for an elegant yet masculine font. Something with a little flow to it. Suggestions?

I need a few good fonts for various props in a 1956 play. Does anyone know of a list of several 1950's fonts? I need a sign, window lettering, and I'd like the program to have a fifties feel as well.

I made a basic "under construction" site for my wife's clothing brand-to-be. Now it's time to make tags, but I've since reinstalled my OS and lost the font...and can't remember for the life of me what it was. Can anyone identify the font? (Font sample inside)

I'm finishing up my master's thesis, and I am having trouble picking a font to print it in. The thesis writing guide we are given just says it must be a "classic" font. I'd like something snazzy, yet easy to read. Save me from the clutches of Times New Roman!

MacFilter: How do you make the screen fonts bigger in OS X? I've just upgraded my grandmother from a virus-infested WinME box to a 17" iMac G5. Unfortunately, the text is much too small for her to read clearly, and she wants her WinMe box back. I've changed the resolution down to 1024x768. Other than seriously degrading the image quality, it doesn't make the fonts much larger.
I'm comfortable working with the command line and editing plists, so don't hold anything back.

FONTFILTER: Times Roman? Optima? Garamond? Verdana? Something else that I can get for not too much $$$?
I'm trying to decide upon a font for a brochure/prospectus for a technology-oriented service for attorneys.
I'm thinking of formatting the the text in two or four(landscape) columns. This is all decidedly low-tech: Microsoft Word on in OS 9.2. I like Optima, but mostly for Headlines. And thoughts, ideas?

Any recommendations for flashcard program? I'm looking for something free that runs on XP. The kicker: I need to be able to change the font on the cards and have access to a character map so I can use it for classical Greek. Everything I've found so far is crap or for OS X.

Font Management in Mac OS X - We've been holding off on upgrading our marketing design team to OS X because font management (among other things) is an issue. We're due for new hardware though, and that's going to mean leaving 9. We want to get off Quark anyway and move over to InDesign. That brings us back to the font issue. Has anybody (in the capacity of a professional graphic designer) determined the best solution for that?

I need to make a web page that has 12 different languages, on one page (inc. some right-to-left languages). It's links to customer guides (PDFs) in the different languages - and rather than list them in English (Arabic, bengali, Hindi, Punjabi..) I'd like each language name to be written itn its own script. Can anyone point me to a list of langauge names as text not images, and give me a heads-up on the HTML code required?

Whilst whittling away on a book within the confines of InDesign, I've come upon a question which is purely subjective in nature: If I wish to present this tome in as nice a fashion as possible, which font should I set the text in? I am looking for a beautiful serif, one which harkens back to the Victorian era, yet is easily readable in a smallish size (12pt).
In other words, friends, what is your favorite serif font?
