If I posted AskMes with any great frequency, this could be construed as a waste of a question, but: That
Zalgo thread. What do I need to do to see it properly? I'm on xp/ff3.5 and I'm seeing little boxes with numbers in them.

I'm looking for a font that will read as the same word (or phrase or whathaveyou) upside down or rightside up. Similar to
this, but, you know, it'd say "Come In" both ways (or "Go Away" depending on how you feel, har har). I cannot put my hands on an example that does what I want.

I've become fascinated with Masking Tape Poems found on the streets of San Francisco, and feel sure that there must be more documentation - some alternative weekly article, blog post, art historian musings, etc. - out there that I'm missing through my lame googlefu skills. Looking for links, photos, or "oh yeah I've seen that and heard..." information.

The font size on Blackboard is suddenly really big. This does not seem to be a problem at most other websites, though it is also the case at the FLDOE website. I have not changed the font settings in the computer. I turned the computer off and turned it back on (that always works).

How do you pick fonts that go well with one another?
I recently decided to rewrite my resume, and I'm trying to decide what font to use for the body. My name, and the headings, are in Copperplate Gothic Bold.
How do I find a second font for the body that will look good with Copperplate Gothic? Are there rules? A cheat sheet?
Thanks

I am making my newest child (6 months) a custom set of blocks. Please suggest an AWESOME font for me to carve the letters into them as. They will be various colors, each block one solid color, with the letter different colored, or possibly just black lettering (haven't decided yet, feel free to put this along with your suggestion).

Why are LaTeX math fonts so terrible? Or am I missing something? I want to get some nice titles on a legend for a Matlab figure, and I have to use the LaTeX interpreter for some accents, but when I import the figure into Word the resulting font is very pixelated and just plain garbage. How do I get smooth and clear math fonts out of LaTeX?

There are a couple fixed-width Unicode Arabic fonts out there. The ones I've seen are pretty hard on the eyes, though, especially at small sizes. Any suggestions for a really
readable one?

I'm looking for the website of an Eastern-European, I think, designer & typographer who designed some cool-looking Western (cowboy-style) fonts with a former-Soviet-satellite flair. The site had scans of some of his sketchbooks. Anyone?

Why is text in Firefox so damn ugly and is there anything, from a design perspective, that I can do about it? (Okay, text in FF may not be ugly, exactly, but it doesn't compare to IE, Opera, or Safari.)
I'm making a website for a friend, and he's complained that in FF the text isn't 'pretty'. Since FF is all I use, it looks great to me - but damn if he isn't right that the copy looks sharper./smoother in other browsers.
Whassup with that?

Here's the deal: I've exhausted my neurons looking for some kind of answer to a
mathematical symbol stumper. I'd love to know who invented, originated, or was the first individual to use the double-
tilde (≈) as a means of expressing/denoting "approximately equal" in mathematics. I know that
Robert-Recorde is supposed to have introduced the "equals" sign (=) in 1557. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated. I await enlightenment.

I'm looking to find or generate a list of movies whose logo/font includes at least one symbol replacing a letter. For instance,
Night Shift replaces the "i"s with footprints, and more famously
Ghostbusters replaces the O with the "no ghosts" icon. Bonus points if the symbol is a dollar sign.
