A project I'm working on uses
Handmade Dropshadow JNL for the main title. Obviously, that's not a typeface you can use anywhere other than in the title, so can you recommend a secondary display font for subtitles, headings, and so on? Another web-font would be a plus, but not a requirement.

[Type-nerd filter] What's a more "old-world"/traditional typeface: Frutiger or Gill Sans? Or something else along the same lines? Must have Black/Extra Black/Ultra faces.

What typeface is
this they're using in the Subterranean logo?
What The Font and Identifont have not helped narrow it down, so I thought I would tap into the hive mind to see if you all knew what it is.

What is
this font? I'm trying to match the cute, handwritten scroll feeling of "just add ice." I'm happy to find a typeface either to buy or a free download. OpenType preferred. My results from Identifont weren't close.

Does anyone know of a free Traditional Chinese kaishu-style font that looks like it was written with a ballpoint pen or pencil (not a calligraphic pen or brush)? I'm currently using HanWangFangSongMedium from
this page, which I quite like, but it's in fangsong style. It's for my computer flashcards when trying to remember how to write characters (e.g English word -> Chinese character).

Designers, type designers, font geeks - I need your help please. In the past, each "era" has had a typeface that came to represent the "spirit" of that era. Can you recommend me typefaces that you feel are poised to capture this new era we are entering...this time where computing breaks free of the desktop and we interact in new ways with "the cloud" in everything we do wherever we are?

I'm looking for a way to snazz up my documents (and in particular my thesis) so it looks a lot less like the canned default Word/Pages themes. Any suggestions on some nice looking (free to cheap) fonts and document layouts I can use anywhere from short report and research proposals to my full-blown thesis?

Does anyone have suggestions for a good typeface for a point-of-sale receipt printer?
I have a project to design messages printed on the bottom of a cash register receipt. These are B&W thermal printers, about 200-250 DPI. The text is 6-12 points. We're going primarily for readability and cleanliness and we're happy to pay for quality.
Before we go with what we already have (Verdana, Arial, etc.), we'd love suggestions for what might be better.

How do you pick fonts that go well with one another?
I recently decided to rewrite my resume, and I'm trying to decide what font to use for the body. My name, and the headings, are in Copperplate Gothic Bold.
How do I find a second font for the body that will look good with Copperplate Gothic? Are there rules? A cheat sheet?
Thanks

I want to read a book set in blackletter. Not just for titles 8212; I want blackletter for the text. Unfortunately I don't read German, nor a Northern European language, and I want to really
read it, not just look at it, so it has to be a book written in English or French.
I'd prefer a book from the past two centuries.

I'm finishing up my master's thesis, and I am having trouble picking a font to print it in. The thesis writing guide we are given just says it must be a "classic" font. I'd like something snazzy, yet easy to read. Save me from the clutches of Times New Roman!
