So the long and short of it is, I'm pretty sure that Meiryo UI is messed up or missing or something, and instead Office 2011 on my Mac has decided that it'd be totally cool to use Mart Futomaru Gothic instead for most Japanese text display, including all over Excel. Is there some way to reinstall just the font(s) or maybe clear the Office font cache?

I've got an old Mac font suitcase (OS 9) containing fonts I'd like to use on my OS X (10.7) Mac. I'm not sure what format they're in but copying the file over to my new Mac results in a 0-byte file. I think I have to convert them to TTF on my OS 9 iMac, but not sure what to do it with. Any suggestions? Free would be great, since I don't plan on doing this again, but cheap would be okay.

I would like to write in a typeface that beckons to an unreasonable future populated by ludicrous characters, yet isn't unbearable to read a few hours at a time on a 24" iMac monitor or 13" iBook laptop. [more inside]

I am using CS2 and missing various PostScript fonts. I ran FontDoctor in hopes of fixing the problem, but it is still reporting that I cam missing about 50 bitmap fonts. How can I reload these fonts? Please walk me through each step - this is all new to me.
(I am running version 10.4.10 on a 1.8GHz Power PC G5.)

Is there any way on the mac to change the color of a font through a keyboard shortcut? If there isn't a built-in way is there a way to hack it so that you could?

Please help me GLOBALLY DISABLE font smoothing (anti-aliasing) in Tiger. I did it almost-completely in Panther, but the Panther solution needs another step in Tiger.
