Does anyone know of the best alternatives to a Tempurpedic matress? They are just too expensive for me to justify purchasing, but I love the way they feel. I have been researching memory foam mattresses, but it is very hard to filter out the hype and get real information. First hand accounts from the hivemind would be greatly appreciated.

I need to replace the approx 3" diameter foam discs on my Beyerdynamic headphones - the ones that sit between the baffle and the driver. There's no information on the Beyerdynamic site, and I had this problem with Sennheiser before - these things are damn hard to come by (I know that Sennheiser make spares, but finding the ones that fit your cans is another story). Can I just make my own? Where would I go to buy thin foam that would feel nice pressed against my ears on a daily basis? Any other suggestions?

My girlfriend recently purchased a foam mattress topper, for our extra-firm hand-me-down queen mattress. It currently resides between the fitted sheet and the mattress, but it creeps down the bed, night by night. I need a new mattress. While shopping around, I tried one of those TemPurpedic, Swedish foam mattersses. They are about 4x more than I would ever expect to pay for a bed, but i am tempted. Anyone have any experience/advice/tips on these? Worth it or not? Any cheaper alternatives?

Those memory-foam mattress things. Tempurpedic and the knock offs you can find in other shops. I've noticed some cost as low as $400, scroll down to the bottom (beware, it's an awful site) with the Tempurpedic running about $1800 for a fullsize. There are other knockoffs (one by Sealy i think) but I can't find a link. And what's with the latex beds? Consumers! REPORT! thanks. I have a friend whose life was changed by these things. I worry it's a fad, like the waterbed but I've heard good things. I have two questions. 1) go Tempurpedic or try something else? 2) for those with one, what is sex like on them?
