Retail Mefis - what is the best way to handle cash?

I am owner of a new retail business (coffee shop, if you see past posts) shortly to launch. We anticipate handling a fairly large amount of cash each day. It seems sensible to me that I get staff to do regular banking when I am not at the business. [more inside]

To Float or Not to Float, That is the Question

How do I get figure wrapping and captions to behave the way I want them to in Latex?

So I'm writing a proposal in a mock NRSA (NIH) grant format and I used a Latex template I found here. But for some reason, my figures are now not getting wrapped by text, and the figure captions extend well beyond the figure width on either side. What to do? [more inside]

Floating wagon?

I work in the marsh and we need to carry some pretty heavy equipment soon; we have been trying to think of some way we can carry it all. We are thinking of some sort of sled/wagon that could handle diverse ground going from firm ground to puddles/ponds to very muddy, soft ground. Does anybody have good ideas? [more inside]

Float not working in Nextgen Gallery for Wordpress

I feel like this is a waste of a question, but I can't find an answer. The "float" function in my nextgen gallery isn't working. Rather, it is working, but the text isn't wrapping around it. See the post here. Anyone encountered this problem before? I've checked a bunch of wordpress forums, and all I can find is this post, in which Alex Rabe says it was answered elsewhere, but it seems it wasn't. I've set all the permissions of my nextgen gallery folders to read and write... any ideas? the code I'm using is [singlepic id=320 w=200 h= float=right]

Would a blimp "filled" with vacuum float?

If you were to take a blimp like structure and instead of filling it with hydrogen, or helium, or hot air, you instead "filled it" with vacuum, that is you removed everything from the inside (think mercury vacuum), would that structure float in earths atmosphere...This is driving me nuts, help me physics!

CSSFilter: Webkit won't keep my elements in their fixed width container.

CSSFilter: I am building a wordpress site that uses a basic two column layout with floating div elements inside a fixed-width div . Any clues why Safari and Chrome appear to be ignoring the fixed-width container div allowing the interior elements to float away to the edges of the browser? Explorer and Firefox aren't doing this. What is a dense/heavy transparant oil or inert/safe non-water-based liquid?

I need a crystal-clear transparent liquid that is as heavy (dense) or heavier than water, not dangerous, and not difficult to obtain. The heavier the better. The catch - it can't be water-based. [more inside]

IE bug with truncation of page

Image centering with CSS?

Following some googling, I've found a few sites that claim you can't use CSS to centre an image vertically within a div. Does this mean that I can't get the images on this page to float in the centre of their respective grey box? At the moment, they only seem to be postioned in the middle at the top of the box and even the middle bit is only because there is a text-align:center in there. (I don't mind If I have to lose the title of the image to get this to work)
