I'm looking at transferring my photos from Flickr To Google Photos. One thing I can't find is the ability to organize my individual albums into larger collections, such as "Family", "Friends", "Arty", etc. Any advice?
I have accumulated - and curated - around 5K photos on Flickr. Quite a few of these are embedded/pulled into various places (blogpost example). In case Flickr does go under, I'm looking for quick/non-teccie solutions for moving the entire bunch of photos and also for easily updating all of those places where a bit of code pulls in the picture from Flickr. Looking for the most reliable and easy to use automatic photo/video backup solution for iPhone. Contenders include Dropbox, Amazon, Flickr, icloud, Google, and probably others. We take tons of photos of the kidlet, and want to ensure they're backed up somewhere between syncing to the computer. Bonus points for a solution that can easily be imported to iPhoto for wife and Lightroom for me. [more inside]
As it says in the title - I found an image on flickr which I would like to use. I tried googling this and also the flickr forum but cannot figure it out, as I know nothing about how flickr works. [more inside]
So I want start using my Flickr account again, but have forgotten the password to Yahoo, which is used by Flickr. Even better, my rarely ever used yahoo account goes to an email address that I deleted years ago. Is there any way I can recover this account? I haven't used Yahoo in years. Bonus point: My iPhone still remembers the Yahoo mail account and can use the account just fine. Is there any way I can get the password from the phone?
Looking for recommendations for a video download extension for Firefox that won't a) inject ads into the stream, or b) track every site I visit. [more inside]
I have an utterly unremarkable Flickr profile. I have no one image that has attracted any large amount of attention. I do, however, have followers in China. I get a new one every week or two. I cannot figure out why. [more inside]
I recently had a few hundred family photos scanned and I'd like to put them up somewhere everyone who's interested can see them. This includes people across several different families and with vastly different technology access/knowledge (though everyone can browse the Internet). I'd strongly prefer not to use Facebook. What's the best solution? [more inside]
Is there an Android app or web app that will show the latest image from a Flickr album or Dropbox folder? [more inside]
Hoping someone can help. Why are my images fine on my computer, but full of artifacts when uploaded? [more inside]
Flickr used to be my go-to site for getting free images to use in classroom powerpoints. Even with a lot of spam, you could search and find nice images, especially diagrams and non-photo visuals, quite effectively. Now it has even MORE spammy photos and the search function feels more inadequate and the site seems a whole lot *slower*. Are there good alternative archive sites I could turn to instead? (I've already tried Google and Bing Image search - they're OK, but a bit too noisy as well) Thanks for any tips!
Today I found out that the service that I've been using for at least a year now is closing down. I was on Flickr for a long time (starting 2006?), but I just don't trust Yahoo either. So I guess that means I should do something self-hosted...what are my options these days? [more inside]
I'm a food blogger and my photo editing process takes way too much time to justify at this moment in my life (normally I spend a long time on Photoshop saving everything for the web and resizing to a 605 width so it fits my blog). Is there a way I can do that straight from my phone and publish on to Flickr directly? That would be a huge help!
I apparently signed up for a second Flickr account in 2005, using my real name, to share some family photos with immediate family. I apparently made it public. I want to delete it or make it private, but I can't figure out my log-in credentials. [more inside]
Can anyone provide pointers for setting up a robust digital image archive on the cheap? [more inside]
Is there any service/script/app that will automagically take the photos from a date range in my Flickr photo stream and set them up to be a printed and bound book? The model for most tools is upload, review, print. I would like it to be capture all from Flickr, review, print. The first is an include model, the second is an exclude model. Since I take on the order of 500 pictures/year, the first model is onerous.
I need help with getting my iPhone videos (home videos, all 2 minutes or less) to upload to Flickr - ideally using their app, but open to other ways as well. Why can't I do it? [more inside]

Well, I'm done with Flickr for a variety of reasons. So I need a new place to put the 10,000 photos I have there and the 10,000 more I'll take in the next few years. But where? And is there a simple, relatively painless way to transfer all those images? [more inside]

I have a few thousand photos on my hard drive and a few hundred of them have been uploaded to my Flickr account. With the new space available on Flickr, what is the easiest way for me to identify all of the photos that I have not yet uploaded? [more inside]
II am trying to get a handle on web content and which content has, overall, the best stickiness. Sites like YouTube, Tumblr, Flickr are, as near as I can tell, mostly visual. Blog and microblogging sites like Wordpress and Twitter are word based. Quora, Reddit and Metafilter are information sharing communities. Podcasts and music sites like MySpace or Soundcloud are, for the most part, sound focused. And then you have sites like Facebook and Google+ that are trying to combine the best of all of them. Pretty much all of my photos exist on my laptop, a networked hard drive and Flickr. I am looking for a good way to keep the three locations synced with each other. [more inside]
I'm planning to scan a large number of old family photographs, with an eye to eventually creating family photobooks. I need a wide variety of my family members to be able to access these photos in order to comment on them, and tell me who is in them, when they are from, etc. [more inside]
I've done a google search and can't seem to find this specific site I'm looking for. It was a black site, which filled the screen with decent sized flickr photos that you could click on and find photos related to that one. Not sure what the algorithm was, but I seem to recall the site ending with multiple r's. http://*rrr.com ? You may have had the option to search for tags but I can't recall. [more inside]

I run a tumblr blog. Every day I post a Lego-related photo or video, mostly culled from Flickr. To facilitate this, I have subscribed to the RSS feed for the "lego" tag, so that I get in my feed reader every image tagged with "lego". This is a lot of images; it's not unusual for me to go through over 500 images a day. [more inside]
