My company is small and we need a website. We have about 2 weeks to get it done. Of the 10, I am by far the most web savvy and technically proficient - but I am, sadly. not a coder. While racking our brains for an alternative we stumbled upon cloversites.com and we were immediately impressed. But we have a few issues with the overall options... [more inside]

My Own Private YouTube: I'm looking for a host service that will allow me to post flash (flv) videos, which would then play in a browser window. But, I also want to be able to limit access to a private group -- say, only to folks I share the video URL with. Does something like this exist? [more inside]
Speed Graphic flash adapter? I'd like to use a modern flash system with an old speed graphic lens - the kind with a two pin flash connection. Google and B&H searches fail me, perhaps because I'm using the wrong terms. Does such an adapter exist?
Does anybody (in the top-tier creative-professional/digital artist) really use Flash anymore? I'm talking about the timeline-based-vector-animation-only side of Flash - not the ActionScript side. I'm teaching a (somewhat condensed/potentially fast-paced) class in media production - is it really worth it for the students to learn the vector-animation if it's really no longer something widely used in the creative industry (esp. when there are much better options)? Flash CS4: How do I take segments that currently start at frame 100, and have them start on frame 500, without physically dragging them to that spot on the timeline? Is there a command to "go to frame X"?
I'm trying to find a little Japanese flash game I found in either 08 or 09. It was a cute, quirky thing where you were a little sumo and you had to smash small things to build up your strength - eventually going to to smash very large things like temples and bits of mountain. [more inside]

I've been having problems with YouTube over the last couple of days. Most of the time it works just fine, but it's freaked out a few times, and not worked for an hour or so, and then gotten better. Here's what happens: The pages looks like this (YouTube homepage), and videos won't play (annoyingly enough, page-ads play just fine). It tells me that my Flash player isn't up to date, which it is. Other flash-things work just fine, including other video sharing websites. Google Chrome is my primary browser but the same thing happens in Firefox. I've asked around and no one I know has had the same problem. What is wrong and how can I fix it?

I need to create a promo video for our software and I'm looking for examples for inspiration. This demo will live on our website. What are some of the best done 3-4 minute software demos / promos that you've seen online? Or what advice do you have? I have Adobe Captivate to work with. In the past I have done this with screenshots and Microsoft Movie Maker. Captivate seems to give me a whole lot more options, maybe too many as I'm having a hard time deciding how to do this. I've looked at our competitors websites and the offerings there are amateurish and somewhat embarrassing. I can do much better, and I'm not even particularly good at this stuff. I don't want this to be an in depth demo. I'm trying to do more of a commercial, for lack of a better term.

Can you recommend some great educational media for my nearly two year old daughter? I am looking for good DVD's, computer / iPhone software, or websites that I can load up for 30-60 minutes a day. I would like something she can learn from, but if she is having fun, that is cool as well. Right now she is a Dora and Diego addict. I just got her a few LeapFrog preschool DVD's that she loves. She can sing her ABC's and can count to 10 in English and Spanish. She is just starting to be able to answer "How does the letter A, B, C, etc. go?' She knows how to flip pages and push buttons on the iPhone. Are there any computer learning games that a two year old could handle. Flash games? iPhone games? Answers to this question do not involve telling me to take my daughter outside. I am familiar with the debunking of Baby Einstein. I would just like to find some good stuff for her to watch, play or interact with. General toy recommendations are good as well.

Hello! I'm looking for a simple solution to turn my 64GB USB Thumb Drive into a portable MP3 player. Nothing fancy, simple display, controls, and small screen. I have Microsoft Sync in my new car, and a laptop that I travel with. Seems like it would be easy to keep all my mp3s on one thumb drive and take it with me rather than having multiple copies floating about on all devices. There used to be an old Lexar & I believe a Sandisk product that allowed for this. Anyone aware of anything more recent or that supports all 64GB? Thank you in advance. PS. My USB drive is not one of those fancy encrypted ones, so it works in every device I've tried it in.
I opened my dishwasher yesterday while it was off (not running and nothing in it), and there was a visible flash (about the size of a baseball?) near the front side by the door, and a sharp bang that seemed like it was a mini-ignition of some sort. No debris was left, and no smell lingered. I tried starting the dishwasher, and it seems to be fine. [more inside]
