Flash gurus, HTML developers and XP know-it-alls: I need your help! Flash, framesets and IE8 are not getting along at all. A framed site using Flash works on my desktop, where I still have IE6 running on XP SP3, but not on my XP SP3 laptop with IE8. Whether or not I can make it work in IE8, I still need to demo this site on something that works. If I can't make this work by noon Tuesday, I'm going to have to use my restore disks to return my laptop to its original XP Pro condition so I can at least use IE6 on it. Help me figure out a way to avoid a complete restore in the short run and make this work on IE8 in the long run! [more inside]

[ Flash Filter ] Ok. So after sketching out my client's site, they have informed me that they want the white cross (with the blue gradient) to basically fade, from the outside in to the center, and perhaps have a little sparkle and 'ding' noise as the animation completes. As far as I can come up with, flash is the only way this is going to happen. My question is, how am I going to make this work? [more inside]

FlashFilter: I would like to lay a flash movie _over_ a web page and have web content show through the movie (in defined areas). Is there a way to specify an alpha channel (or other masking option) for a flash file? I'm certain there is, but my flash programmer is a neophyte and doesn't believe me.

I created a web page using FrontPage (no snarks, please) and put it online. IE shows the new, updated web page. However, Mozilla and Firefox show the old web page. I thought it was just a cache problem with me, but I've loaded it on several different computers with the same result. How can I fix this?
