What flag can I fly on the flag pole that came with my house that has the same symbolic value of say the American or Texas flag, but isn't subject to the same code of treatment (ie taken inside when it's raining, etc)? [more inside]

There was a post in the last year or so of a really over-the-top video from some super patriotic singer. Lots of flags and cheezy pageantry. I remember the guy having long hair and the song was metal ballady. Anyone remember and have a link to what I'm talking about?

Where can I buy an official-design full-size Flemish Flag online? If the official version isn't available, I'd settle for the all-black type.

I've noticed that a majority of movies have at least one American flag in them; even when the movie might not be US friendly itself. I do not think this is a confirmation bias issue, and have noticed it since I was a kid. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be?

I noticed that flags were at half staff around my area today (Seattle). I haven't seen anything in the news about why. Anybody know why?

The American flag in New York's Union Square Park is flying at half-mast today. What is the occasion? (And where can I find a resource for finding this out in the future?)
