Custom view for flagged emails in Entourage?

Custom view for flagged emails in Entourage? I could set up folders, as this article suggests. But I'd like a one-click solution. Is there a one-click method of setting a message's priority to "high"? Then I could make a custom view for high-priority messages. Perhaps the other method would be to create various categories instead: "respond soon," "archive," "waiting," etc. Are there one-click ways of setting a message's category?

I get a lot of emails...

Thanks!

So much for the "fabric of our lives"...

Where can I find a distressed cotton Japanese navy "rising sun" flag? Or just a regular cotton one so I can distress it myself? A coworker picked up a distressed 3x5' thirteen-star cotton American flag to hang on his wall above his desk, which looks awesome. We both agree this means I need a matching Japanese navy flag (I have a pinup with this motif, but that's not work-appropriate of course, so this is the next best thing.)

The only problem is finding a distressed rising sun flag. Or, barring that, one made of cotton so I can distress it myself. Apparently all modern flags are made with synthetics like nylon or polyester, which does not distress properly as far as I know and would just look like used tissue paper. Also the originals were apparently in silk. I could spend the $250+ for a real period silk flag, but that's probably a bit north of my budget. And I don't know anybody crafty enough to make a convincing one.

Where does one get a cotton Japanese navy flag? Googling, I can only find them in nylon or polyester or expensive original signed WWII keepsake.

Should a non-citizen be saluting the flag?

Should a non-citizen be saluting the flag? ... We have a friend staying for a couple of weeks who is not a US citizen (we're in the USA). He's here mainly for some formal events some to do with the Boy Scouts. He and I seek the proper advice about various national symbols and the right way for a non-citizen to behave. The Scouts often do flag ceremonies. Also recite the the Pledge of Allegiance. And in those formal ceremonies, salute each other and salute the flag as it raised and lowered.

Now, he'll happily just copy everybody else - he doesn't have a problem with that, but part of the education we try to give the Scouts is to with national pride and the right way to do things. So really for him just to copy the Americans isn't really 'right' and doesn't express his national pride (for his nation).

This is what we're come up with so far do him to do.

- Pledge of Allegiance - stand respectfully silent.

- Nation Anthem - sing along (it's a good song he says), but no hand on heart.

- Raising/lowering Stars and Stripes alone - stand to attention but no salute.

- Raising/lowering Stars and Stripes along with other Scout flags - stand to attention and salute. (so he's saluting the Scout flag but not the US flag).

- Other 'internal' Scout honorifics (like saluting the color guard) - just as the others do.

What do you think? About right?

I guess the answers to this isn't specific to the Boy Scouts. There must be official rules for type of this situation.
Any pointers please?

Thanks

What US flag should I hang?

Now that Summer's here, I want to get an American flag (stars + stripes) for the front lawn. Thinking 3x5 is best, but may go for a 4x6 - what's the best flag manufacturer on the market? Should I go with a nylon one to withstand the weather (in the rust belt)?
What flag can I fly on the flag pole that came with my house that has the same symbolic value of say the American or Texas flag, but isn't subject to the same code of treatment (ie taken inside when it's raining, etc)? I need a unique flag that has positive symbolism, but I'm not looking for another chore... so whatever flag it is, I just want to let it fly... rain or shine... yet I don't want to disrespect any of my neighbors (lots of vets) and I don't want to send any messages that can be mis-perceived (peace sign / rainbow flags... even though I like their symbolic values)... So is there a good compromise out there?

Made in South Korea?

Why does the pepsi logo look so similar to the South Korean flag? The older pepsi logo (not so much the newer, looks like an overweight man logo) looks so similar to the South Korean flag.

Is there a story behind this? Was one of the artists from South Korea, or is this just plain coincidence?

Help me find a large flag display case

I need help finding a display case for a very large US flag. My church has a very large US flag hanging in our building- the shorter side is about 7', which I suppose would make the longer side at least 15' (though I'm not sure- it's hanging so high I can't measure the long side). It was flown at a military base and hangs in memory of a member of our community who died on 9/11. We would like to take down the flag from the wall where it is presently hanging, and put it in some sort of display case. I'm having trouble finding display case options for such a large flag- are they not mass-produced, is this something we'd have to have custom made?

Proper Display of a Flag

When hanging the US flag from the front of a house where do you position it from a visitor's viewpoint? I need actual US flag display protocol, with references to US Code if at all possible, on where to position a flag when hung from the the front of a house.

The flag will be hung according to protocol from the peak of a pole mounted on the pillar of a house's front porch, the pole will be at an angle, neither vertical nor horizontal and dictated by what looks best. Nothing else will be attached to the pole, and nothing else attached to the flag. If it matters the entry way to the house is offset to the right from a visitor's perspective as he or she approaches the house, but not set back from the street. If it matters North is to the visitor's right as he or she approaches the house.

From my research I believe the proper location should be on the visitor's left unless the other side gives it more prominence, but the home owner wants a real reference to verify that. So, from a visitor's perspective as he or she is approaching the house from the street or sidewalk what side should the flag be displayed on?

Flag with a red eight-pointed star on a green field: what is it?

MovieTriviaFilter: I'm trying to identify this flag, as seen in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In one of the big action scenes, about an hour and a half into the movie, several of these flags are flying on a German tank. I'm curious to know what entity the flag represents.

It's a large, red, eight-pointed star with a white border, on an emerald green field. I tried flagid.org, but it was no help.

The scene in question occurs in the short-lived Republic of Hatay, but it's not their flag. (I didn't expect it to be, but I figured it was worth a shot.)

Any hints? Perhaps the banner of a specific German division? Maybe just a stylistic touch with no real-world origins? I don't know why I want to know this, but I do!

Identify my American oil painting

This (early 19th century, mississippi river?) oil on canvas painting (large size, 612 Kb) has been in my family for generations. Who painted it, when, where? The painting was was dirty and had two holes in it when my father took it from a corner in my french great-grand-parents' attic during the early 1980s. He had it restored and framed, and it has been hanging in the living room since.

We tried to date it with the number of stars on the flag of the United States, but the flag always had more stars and more stripes, and used a grid design for the stars many times. The paddle steamers look older than this one from the 1850s. Could I learn anything about the painting from the bonnets of the women on the other steamboat, the way the porters work, the clothing of the people on the shore and the structure that looks like two double-decker buses at the side of the boat?

Would the high lighthouse on the cliff at the back place this by the ocean? I always thought it looked like a painting of the Mississippi.

The painting is unsigned, and there are only cobwebs at the back of the canvas.

I need advice on how to organize an urban, neighbourhood-wide Capture the Flag game. We're anticipating about 12-15 players per team, but neither of us have played capture the flag since small times.

Right now we've drawn up an area of about 9 square residential city blocks to play in. Tagging will involve removing an accessible handkerchief/banada from the pack pocket, but we haven't thought too much about the jail/jailbreak provisions or need for officiating.
How do I care for an antique flag?

Antique Flag Care: How do I care for a WW I era flag? I recently received the flag that covered my great-grandfather's casket. He was a WW I POW [twice!]. The flag is roughly folded in an old cardboard box. I'd like to get it cleaned and cared for before I have my local Veterans Service Commission fold it properly so I can display it in a flag case.

How should I go about cleaning and caring for it? Is getting it drycleaned going to harm it? What else should I consider?

What's the name of that American TV show where a woman draped the American flag into a stunning dress without cutting it, and did the photo shoot inside Grand Central Station? I think it was some kind of photographers competition.

Oh, say can you see...

The first transatlantic television image was that of a fluttering American flag. My grandfather was the cameraman. Two words: Christmas gift. For years, my mother has wanted to find a print of that flag, to give to her father. But for a seemingly iconic image, prints have proved strangely elusive. The satellite was Telstar, the image was broadcast on July 10, 1962, and my grandfather worked for Second City at the time.

Anyone know where we can procure this stray bit of American history?

Identify this flag: white cross, blue, red, star.

What is this flag? White cross, red and blue fields, white star. I saw this flag hanging in a window in Los Angeles. I'm sorry for the poor photograph; it has a white cross (regular, not Scandinavian), and two red sections, and two blue sections. One of the blue sections has a white star, which is hard to see in the picture.

Name this flag

My Google-fu has failed me. I cannot for the life of me find any information on this flag. It's big 62" x 42", five stars, red and white stripes and this stamp located on the edge. Seems to have some age. Maybe WW2ish. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a good custom flag or banner maker?

Can anyone recommend a good custom flag or banner maker? I've got this big empty area on my living room wall, and I think it'd be cool to hang a custom flag on it. I have a few different ideas for flags to hang, and I imagine I'd hang a different one every month or so. For example, off the top of my head, I was thinking of a Strong Badia flag and a Slayer flag. I can get a Slayer flag, but the Strong Badia flag would have to be custom.

Google yields a lot of results for online flag and banner makers, most of which are a bit too costly. Has anyone had experience with any of them? Can you recommend one, preferably one that makes flags with grommets in them?

Finding historic Cape Verde flag

Where to buy the historic Cape Verde national flag flown up until 1992? The image of that flag is seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Cape_Verde. I need a large professional version.

What is this flag?

Can anyone identify this flag, and maybe who would be using it now? My town recently was the host to an anti-immigration rally. Some of the people at the rally had this flag. It seems similar to a US Cavalry Guidon flag. I found a similar flag here (ignore the banner about deportations, in the previous pic in that stream, they talk about how they stole that banner from the leftists). The group who had it in the first picture is likely from Pennsylvania or New Jersey, but I'm not sure. I am very curious about what group, if any, is using this flag and what it means.
