I am looking for a rounded translucent glass cover for an indoor overhead fixture and have struck out so far - it may be a non-standard design. Basically it is a dome-shaped, flat-based, non-threaded cover that has two slots into which two tabs on the base fit and it secures in place with a quarter-turn. You can see photos of the base and of an identical cover in this gallery
. Are there terms of art I need to use in my search for compatible covers? Thanks!

Can I use a CFL or LED bulb in an outside flood light type fixture that is hooked up to an in-wall Intermatic timer? I was told no but I would like to confirm. If that is the case, I'd love a short explanation in plain English. I tried Googling but I'm still confused. [more inside]

I'm hunting for a ceiling light for my kitchen... I really like the way light tables look, and want to find one (2' x 3' or so, with a wooden frame, available in, or shippable to, Toronto) that I can invert and hang from my ceiling. Google has failed me. Help?
Note: doesn't actually have to be a light table. Could be a fixture that looks like a light table. That would be preferable, actually.

How do I change the lightbulb inside this light fixture
? It has no obvious fasteners or screws. I tried twisting it, but it's not really budging in a reassuring way. I'm staying at a rented beach house, and I am extremely leery of using undue force. [more inside]

Plumbing question - you have a bath tub, free standing, with no shower; no switch to change between the water coming of the faucet vs from a shower head, and no shower curtain or support for such. How much (and what) would the parts be to add shower functionality? Is this a job that you could do by yourself?
