Blackberry Bold Keyboard Quirky Problem - Any Advice?

I just bought a Blackberry Bold 9700, and unlocked it (so there's no warranty). I have used it for about a month or 6 weeks, and following a trip to the beach where it did not get wet, the buttons are not responding properly. Example: the keyguard button on the top left of the phone locks keys but won't unlock keys. The End Call / Power button ends calls and turns off the phone, but won't turn it on. All the keys work but pushing two buttons at once cancels both requests. I've re-installed the software (I think) and left it in rice overnight and both did not help, except for an hour or so when it randomly started working and then stopped again. Do you have any ideas what's wrong with it, and if I am able to fix it myself? (I have a T5 screwdriver if I need to crack it open). Thanks in advance! :)

Cosmetic Surgery or Botox for Drywall

I am vacating my room--one bedroom in a multi-bedroom apartment. So that potential future occupants like what they see and want to sublet said room, I would like to fill the tack holes I left in the drywall. Plus, there are several long, very thin cracks that have formed on the walls over the past eight years. How do I give the room a cheap but passable make-up job? What materials will I need to pick up? Carrying a kid and an iPhone sover hardwood floors is a bad idea, because you never know when you might have to choose which one to drop

My iPhone has a cracked LCD, and I'm considering sending it to Mission repair, who I found via this ask. Does anyone else have any experiences with them to share before I send away my phone? Are there any steps I should take to make data safe, or am I just being paranoid there? Are there any alternatives I should consider in the Seattle area? Note that the phone is not under warranty.

Diagnose my laptop...

When I turn on my Asus A8Jm (NVIDIA go7600) laptop, I get a strangely beautiful cross-hatching of colored lines. This sounds like a fried video card, right? Luckily, the card is replaceable... how likely is that this is the only problem and replacing the card will fix things?

How to get my microwave oven to heat again

Why did my microwave oven stop heating after I tried to use it to heat water in a clear pyrex measuring cup? And how can I get it to work again? I've had the not-heating problem before, and it has gone away. I can't remember whether I did something to make it work again. This time, I tried unplugging the oven and plugging it in again -- no dice. Everything works except for the heating up part.

Ack! A Crack In The Wall!

There's a small crack/dent in the wall by my door where it got kicked by accident. What's my best bet on fixing it? I don't need it to be perfect, but good enough to not be obvious. I've uploaded a few pics. My initial thoughts were to throw some spackle over the crack/hole, smooth it over, and then paint. Or should I just be trying to find someone to pay to do this? Thanks!

How can I separate the two halves of my cocktail shaker?

A few months ago I received a metal cocktail shaker as a gift. The first time I used it with ice, the top and bottom became welded together, presumably because the cold caused the metal to expand.
