What's the best way to track my bike trips, past and present?

I've recently started counting calories and tracking my exercise. I understand that accuracy can be difficult with this sort of thing, but I refuse to accept My Tracks' statement that I only burn 158 calories on my 7 mile bike ride to work. How is a steady-state weight calculated?

I am A years old, am H inches tall and I weigh W pounds. I burn a total of B calories per day on average (that's including exercise as well as just daily living and sleeping). I consume E calories per day. What would my steady-state weight be expected to be, and how long would it take to reach it?
