Mix folders and files alphabetically in XP Details view? I don't want them sorted by name showing folder-names separate from file-names. Mixed was always the default Mac way, which I still crave. After years on XP I still haven't found a way. I've tried various 3rd party multi-pane file managers and did find one to do that, but it costs too much. Also, another freeware manager but it's only single-pane. I want either a simple regedit or a freeware multi-pane manager.

I'm using XP and I have a directory of dozens of short .pdf files. How do i print them all on a specified printer without laboriously opening up each file? (I have an inkjet printer and a laser hooked up, but I only want it to go to the laser).

I used to have a little software application that would assess my hard drive and display a colorful pie graph of folders and subfolders, so that it was very easy to visually determine the location of the file bulk. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? Bonus points for freeware.

I need a search tool replacement for the built-in windows XP search, or suggestions for it. I have a lot of files on different drives in different directories (C:\AA F:\BB ...) and I when I want to find a specific file that I know is in one of those directories, I have to select and search each directory one at a time. (searching all folders on all drives would take too long.) Anyway to make this quicker?

Any easy way to uncompress about 400 zip archives in a Windows XP directory? I thought I was smart but this problem has made me feel dumb.
