Best protein fiber yarn for luxuriously soft dream blanket?

I plan to hand weave a luxuriously soft bed blanket for myself. I am a handspinner so will be able to spin blends if required. Which protein fiber should I use? Qiviut/Vicuna is too expensive but I do have cashmere/silk/yak/baby camel/alpaca etc. in my stash. It does not need to be really warm (I live in a warm climate) but I will like it to be as soft and luxurious as sleeping under a cloud.

fiber optiic internet in the east end of the San Fernando valley

Anyone know how to find out if there is any fiber optic service in the Glendale/Montrose/La Crescenta/ Tujunga general area? (within say five miles of this area?) The Verizon, Time Warner etc. fiber optic "search availability" functions are really vague... even if you get them on the phone, they tell you to provide a specific address. How can they not have some sort of record of where they have laid cable??

What is the healthiest frozen yogurt brand you can recommend?

Preferably plain, preferably low fat, and preferably from Kroger. The yogurt is for an elderly family member, and the plan is to add fresh fruit. For bonus points, any suggestions for a natural fiber supplement to mix in would also be beneficial. I've heard flax seed is used for that purpose, though other/better suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I want to get stoked on vitamins and nutrients.

What are your favorite healthy plant-inclusive dinners that you actually get excited to shop for, cook, and eat? I'm looking less for "I put onions in my sauteed spinach" or "I cook lentils into a flavorless gruel," and more for something like "I roast chicken with garbanzos and cherry tomatoes, then serve it with a smokey yogurt sauce." Lower-fiber vegan foods

I just started a low-fat, vegan diet for health reasons, and I think I overdid it on the fiber. I had chickpeas for dinner last night, raisin bran with flax milk for breakfast, lentil soup for lunch... and now my tummy hurts. In a poopish sort of way, except I don't have to actually go, if that makes any sense. [more inside]

thought it was a blackhead, but it's a bunch of tangled fibers

Weird disease? While cleansing my skin (oil cleansing method), I eventually pulled out what I thought were blackheads, but were actually a mass of black fibers tangled together (too thin for hair). Since noticing this, I realize that some of the blackheads my skin releases appear to be these same fibers. The only thing I can find online is Morgellons disease, but I don't have the feeling of bugs crawling under my skin, and I don't have lesions. Any ideas? [more inside]

How do I build a thing out of carbon fiber?

I've got a very simple plastic widget that I wish to duplicate in carbon fiber. I'm looking, naturally, for that deep piano finish that CF can provide and I need the replacement to be 3-dimensionally identical. The trick is that this widget has a bit of thickness to it, even though only one side is exposed. Are there any good online tutorials or technique write ups on how to make a solid thing out of composite material? [more inside]
