I rented this film on VHS in 1999. It is about a younger french girl, living with her mother in a trailer park. Mother is a drunk, they are poor, she tries to get a job at a food stand at one point (??)
There is love interest and conflict and some kind of crisis. I loved this movie and have thought about it often since I saw it but I am afraid that my memories may have started overwriting my recollections.
She is a little bit of a feral child, medium length brown hair, very striking. Please help!

To those who have made a domestic cat out of a stray or feral one, I need your help! I know you’re out there, and I need your advice on whether this is possible in our situation, and how to best make this cat a domestic cat (even if he won’t ever be super friendly).

Upon the discovery of several live termites attempting to set up shop in my garage wall, I called in a local pest-control company. Following inspection, said company recommended treating the dirt under the garage slab with
fipronil (aka Termidor). I have four indoor cats and a fish, and while the termite guys say the fish can stay, they're recommending moving the cats out of the house for the three hours it will take to apply the stuff. Is this really necessary? If so, where the heck can I take
four fairly skittish cats for three hours?

Adopted cat doesn't seem to be warming up to us. We've had her for about 7 months now. She doesn't like to be petted or touched and often bites very hard if Mr. Stardust or I have to do so. Can we get her used to being touched, or should we leave her alone? Further details within.

Our (formerly feral) cat bites all the time- sometimes gently and affectionately, and other times hard enough to draw blood through thick jeans. Also, he poops every time I take a shower. I'm puzzled.

I have five kittens living with their mom in my backyard. They're old enough now that I want to trap them and find homes for them. But I need suggetions on traps (they're
very wary of humans) and suggestions on where to go to get the mom fixed (I plan on releasing her back into the yard and provide her with shelter and food).
I'm in Red Hook, Brooklyn, without a car, so any extremely cheap vets and/or cat rescue groups nearby would be great.
Thanks!
(Yes, I already have two rescued beasts that live with me, so I'm not keeping any of the new kittens--although I'd like to.)

So I recently found an orphan kitten in the backyard that is about 5 weeks old and i just saw the mother looking for her kitten a little while ago. i'm not sure if she is feral or just a neighborhood cat, and i feel terrible about keeping the kitten from her. but at the same time. if she is feral, i'd feel bad about contributing another feral cat to the community, or worse the kitten wouldn't survive. any advice is more then welcome!
