Are you a female in a profession where females are rare enough that people ask you what it's "like" to be a female whatever-you-are (or just meet you with surprise because of your sex)? If so, what responses do you give to those people, and do they depend on context (stranger at a party, interviewer, etc.)?

I (male) have a friend (female) who I'm really attracted to. After being vague I've cleared the air about it all and she's not looking for more. We really value the friendship so I'm not going anywhere and neither is she. Any suggestions for when I have the overwhelming urge to just kiss her? [more inside]

A while ago, I saw this image on Shorpy and the woman on the right shaking hands looks very very familiar to me. Please help me track down where I've seen her image before... [more inside]

In the 70's (and very early 80's), a common pop music trope was to have a chorus of female vocalists who sounded, well... monotone. Or perhaps a bit bored. Clipped, a tad nasal. The most flamboyant example of this is likely's M's Pop Muzik
[youtube], but there are others. Help me find more.

Can't remember the name of a female vocalist, mid-1980's, ethereal quality to her voice, jazz - torch song kinda style. I think she had a one-word name and sharp, almost Egyptian features, light chocolate skin. Beautiful intonation but I can remember no words.

Help me find this magazine article. Sometime in the last couple of years there was a critical review of contemporary female jazz singers in which some of the more successful singers (e.g., Diana Krall I think) were unfavorably compared to lesser known singers. Article might have been in the New Yorker or the Atlantic, but I'm not sure.

There was a single released in mid 2004 by a young white pop-act rapper, who we were told was going to be the next new female eminem. She may have sung about being a serial killer, but that didn't suit here, more like MC Britney S, then she disappeared without trace. Who was she?

I recently watched a home movie of this girlie being all naked and stuff but i was utterly perplexed by the number "36" written in large letters across her ass. I assumed it was just some personal kinky/weirdness till i happened upon a vintage BDSM photo of a young girl with 36 'spanked' onto her ass. Can any one explain the significance of '36'?

How did we evolve separate genders? I assume it happened pretty early on, since most animals have a male and female, but wouldn't it have had to happen to lots of things at once for it to actually work?

Why are sexually promiscuous men "studs" and sexually promiscuous women "sluts"? And on that note, is it studly or slutty to hook up with one person on a Monday and go out with a different person on a Tuesday? Just asking.
