The tops of my girlfriend's feet are very steep, and her feet don't fit into most shoes that are the correct size for the length/width of her foot. Where can she look for shoes that fit better? (and is there a term to describe it/use when searching for said shoes?) [more inside]

What can I do for numbness in the balls of my feet? Over the past year, as I approach 60, I have developed what I have self-diagnosed as a form of metatarsalgia - the balls of my feet get increasingly numb during the day - possibly due to thinning of the tissues in the feet. The more flexible and cushioned the shoe, the less the problem, and cushion inserts also help. Are there shoes and/or inserts that have helped others with this specific problem?

Help me make my hard working wife's feet happy. My wife is a surgery nurse and is due for a new great pair of nursing shoes. We'll be in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area in a few weeks. Anyone have any recommendations on a great place to buy such a pair of shoes in that area?

I have trouble walking long distances or standing for extended periods due to some foot problems (surgery gone bad). 3 years ago I found some shoes/slides made by Skechers called 'Writers/Carroll" that helped a lot. Bought 3 pairs and now they're looking a bit ratty. I'm desperate to replace them. Size 45. Any idea where I might find new ones? I tried Skechers via their web site and they were no help at all. Also tried My feet and I will be eternally grateful.

Where can you get shoes for unfortunately-footed women in London? I'm looking for shoe stores that stock large sizes but also narrow widths. The person in question has a 11.5 or 12 US/CAN shoe size, which is about a 10 or 10.5 UK size, with an AA width, which often complicates matters. Bonus points if the store sells styles that actually look good.

I have narrow ankles and fairly "large" feet (I have to wear size 10 shoes in order to have a comfortable fit). But because of my narrow ankles, I am having a hard time finding shoes that fit. I have tried thicker socks, a couple of different lacing techniques etc but nothing seems to help. My heels always move inside the shoes! Please help me!!!
