I've got three new baby kittens with no mother, and I need to feed them. I don't have access to any good pet stores or veterinary clinics, but I do have lactose-free baby formula and a plastic syringe with the needle removed, which I've been using to feed them so far. But is there a foolproof method of holding them or something to get them to drink from it? I can usually get them to drink, but only about half of the amount recommended. More details inside.

How much to feed my cat? My vet tells me half a 5oz. - 6oz. can twice a day, the can of cat food says one can twice a day. I can find backup online for either statement. Help?

Scheduled, portion-controlled feeding is failing for my cats. One ravenous kitty versus one food-agnostic kitty equals lots of frustration for me. Can anyone share some tips for making this work?

After a long assault from my SO of horrible puppy pics of things with short legs, smashed faces, or freakishly long bodies, I agreed to
this. Which is a 9 week old chihuahua. He joins
these two as the four legged contigent of a family that also has two boy child types. So now I need to feed all of them.

Overnight is one thing, but how can I make sure my four feline snowflakes get proper nutrition while their humans are off on a three-day cross-country jaunt? Given we've got one cat with food intolerances, one super-picky princess, one food-snatcher, and one with what the vet has described as a "highly efficient colon" (meaning she needs wet food every day), things are going to need a bit more consideration and prep-work than just leaving a big bowl of crunchies out. Please, kittyfolks, share your wisdoms!

I understand that the best cat diet is exclusively wet food. Kittens are supposed to eat small portions every few hours. I am asleep all night and at work for 8 hours during the day. Can I leave wet food out for free feeding or will it go bad? What if she won't eat left-out food?

My very fickle, post-dental-operation (one of her canines had to be removed) cat is getting hungry. She doesn't like wet food -- she'll lick up the juice and ignore the rest. I tried softening some dry food with water, but she's not interested in that either. So I've been giving her tuna, which she eats and enjoys. Should I just stick with that for the next couple weeks or is there something else I should try feeding her?

Very active one year old with G button (MIC-key low profile) During night feeds and traveling in car how do I keep her Button from being pulled? It has come out once before in the crib by her moving so much the slack in the feeding tube got caught in crib and pulled out. It was painful for her since the balloon was fully inflated. I want to keep this from happening again. How do other parents keep thier kids g buttons and tube feeding cord protected at night. She is a wiggly thing and often turns in her sleep many times from belly to back and forth. The feeding is necessary and cannot be missed.

CatFilter: We've just taken in a friend's cat for two weeks. Unfortunately, it turns out that this cat is fed dry food twice a day, while our cat just grazes at her dry food all day. The visiting cat has no self-control over food and so we can't just leave our cat's food out, as it'll get eaten and make the visiting cat sick. Can my cat adapt to regulated feeding on such short notice? If she doesn't get enough to eat, until she learns to adapt, will there be side effects? I'm at a total loss here as to what to do.
