Hi - in a pinch, I need to use my iPhone to feed live video to a projector.
I have a VGA adapter, so I can mirror my camera, but I can't feed "clean" video without all the on-screen camera controls, etc.
I feel like the answer is easy, but I'm flummoxed. Is there an app or way to get just plain camera output without the controls?

I need to monitoring a few social media accounts (on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) for a short period of time. Is there a service I can use that will give me a feed of just these select accounts, without giving me a feed of all the accounts I follow/am friends with? [more inside]

I live in a central Pennsylvania village that's almost 200 years old called Linden Hall. It was in the cellar of a home in our village that one of my neighbors found a bunch of old feed bags from the mill that used to be powered by the creek that runs through here. One of those feed bags looked like this
. It uses this term "Chop." So we began to wonder why, if Chop was a type of feed, why did it had a protein and fat content label? And why are there horses on the bag? Was this actually livestock feed, or something else? [more inside]

I saw that Facebook has created an updated version of the News Feed (see it at Facebook.com/newsfeed
) that has larger pictures and less text. I really liked it, so I signed up for the waiting list. A month has passed and still no sign of the new design. Anyone know when the public release will be?

I'm supposed to use "http://theoldreader.com/feeds/subscribe?url=%s" in the firefox feed handler, but I'm unclear exactly HOW. I know that replacing the "%s" with the url I'm wanting to add works, but I don't know how to get firefox to replace the '%s' with the current url. Adding it as a bookmark doesn't appear to work. Thoughts?

Is there a way one can prevent people sharing a Facebook page's photos on your newsfeed -- either using Facebook's native settings or a Firefox extension or Greasemonkey userscript? I'm trying to weed out the memes and sassy e-cards. Can I block the pages like I would a person? [more inside]

Now that Bloglines is shutting down I need to find a new online feed reader for my secondary (entertainment) feeds. How do web feeds and news aggregators work? When a new blog post goes up does the aggregator automatically pick that up when it checks for updates to the feed or does each site's feed decide how often they update their feeds independent of how often the blog is updated? What is a good aggregator that lets me set how often to check feeds or even lets me check feeds manually?

I'm trying to figure out how to create a XML / RSS feed of my Amazon web store products so I can update to Google Merchant.
There doesn't seem to be many functions / plug-ins offered by AWS and their help isn't very helpful.
I've done a fair amount of searching and have come up empty handed.
Would anyone have an idea how I might go about creating this feed?

What's a good alternative for Google Reader? My employer just started blocking Google Reader (via Websense), saying that it's using up too much bandwidth. (Yeah, sounds funny to me, too.) I suspect there's some alternatives that aren't blocked, but I really love Google Reader and miss being able to jump into it at work. I appreciate any suggestions. [more inside]

I would like to take a given RSS feed (e.g. MetaFilter's feed), and create a derivative feed containing only the items with YouTube links in the content, with the destination URLs changed to the YouTube links (rather than the source of those links). Does something like this already exist? If not, what's the simplest way to create it? I can write code if necessary, but would rather not if there's an alternative. [more inside]
