What hat should I wear this summer to keep cool without looking like a stereotypical nerd? I've worn fedoras all my life, and I've recently realized it makes me look a bit like Fedora Guy or a stereotype I want to avoid. Unfortunately, summer is coming up and I need to wear something to keep the sun off my head. I've been wearing
this black straw fedora, and my dad recently gave me a more traditional Akubra (can't remember the exact model, but
this might be close). I've also got a light straw hat and a 'wacky' one with cowboy skin (and a grey flatcap for winter). What should I wear when I plan on being outside for long periods of time?
I'm in Sydney, Australia so there will be days when going out hatless isn't really an option

Okay, all you Red Hat / Fedora hackers - please, please explain to me this probably-very-simple aspect of the way the YUM package manager works. How do I just uninstall something without trashing everything that package touches?

Have you used CrossOver Linux (the Codeweavers version of Wine)? Does it work well with MS Office 2007? I've installed regular Wine and MS Word on my (Fedora 12) computer, and it works like crap. I was curious if the commercial version worked any better. Thanks.

I want to get my father a hat for his 70th birthday. No, I don't mean one of those awful narrow-brimmed glen plaid affairs that are about as stylish and becoming as toe rubbers. I’m thinking a wide-brimmed fedora made of a good quality gray felt – something like
this, and like what "Jack McCoy" sometimes wears on
Law & Order (unfortunately can’t find a picture of Sam Waterston in his fedora). I’ve looked in the malls in Toronto and the only suitable hat I could find was $85 plus tax, which is both rather steep for my gift budget and too much to spend on something I am not convinced my mother and I can coax my dad into wearing;-). Does anyone know where (preferably) in Toronto or (plan B) online I can find a less expensive hat (hopefully not over $50) for Dad Swan?

Upgrading to Fedora means my linux NAT/webserver now contains SELinux which seems like a pretty swell improvement, but I can't seem to find instructables to get me into the swing of it. You got maybe links or books to recommend?

A dedicated Fedora Plesk server has been set up for me at a hosting company, and as a site admin I'm not sure what to do next. Is there a good guide or tutorial anywhere that will get me up to speed on preparing a dedicated server for a website that uses PHP and mysql? Will I have to install Apache? Are those programs normally installed by default with run-of-the-mill dedicated hosting? This company's documentation is scarce and I think I'm in over my head.

Looking for the component suggestions on what is the "sweet spot" as far as price/performance to build a cheap-ish desktop Linux PC.
I've already got a great monitor and a KVM switch, just need to build the box. I'd like to keep the cost in the $500 range.
