I did a stupid thing and I am so ashamed.
One of our bathroom faucets has a minor leak. When a previous faucet had the same problem, I fixed it by replacing the stem, which worked like a charm, so I was planning on doing the same to this one. Unfortunately, I think I stripped the set-screw when trying to remove the handle, and now I am unable to remove the handle to make the repair. I am looking for suggestions on how to remove this set-screw. [more inside]

My wife and I are buying an old house in which the bathroom just has a tub, not a shower. We'd like to redo the bathroom and put in a proper shower before too long, but in the meantime we'd like to set up an all-around shower curtain and rig up a shower as inexpensively as possible. [more inside]

Our second bathroom has a cruddy bathtub/shower faucet. It's probably original to the house, would be ugly even in new condition but is currently crusty with scale, wiggly, and doesn't seal off all the way for the shower. We do not gave the funds to get professional help. I am a fairly handy guy but I am not a plumber. Can I do this? [more inside]

I have a four-hole sink with a gooseneck Moen. The cartridges seem to leak quickly in my experience and are expensive to replace. Is there a plumber here who agrees?
I'm sick of dealing with this endlessly leaky nightmare, and I'm about ready to replace the whole faucet. Does anybody make a good faucet with simple washers anymore? I don't mind replacing those!
Short question: I want a recommendation for the simplest and most sensible faucet there is. My absolute top price is $200. Must be gooseneck and must not be Moen. I'd prefer to pay $100.
Or explain to why Moens are actually okay and that I should just tough it out.

The counter for my bathroom sink sits below the level of the counter (picture
). When the water is turned off, or the soap dispenser used, water dripping off hands gets all over the counter and eventually runs to the edge of the counter onto the floor. I want this to stop.
The fix for the faucet is to find a new faucet. But I'm not sure what to do about the soap dispenser. [more inside]

Can anyone help me ID this faucet
? Late last night I noticed a steady drip/stream, and could not find an obvious manufacturer ID before, which I'd like to get before barreling into a hardware store looking for the right replacement parts.

Plumbing - I need to replace the gasket and o-ring in this faucet, but I'm stumped on how to take it apart. Help! The handle was easy, but the body refuses to budge. The ceramic body & metal base move with a lot of resistance, but not in a way that suggests unscrewing. The top flange is immovable, but with no space to wedge in a screwdriver to pry it off. Ideas? The flow from our (two-handled American Standard) kitchen sink faucet has recently changed slightly but annoyingly - when I turn on the water, it kind of tapers on, and similarly when I turn the water off, it tapers off, taking several seconds to completely stop flowing. This happens exactly the same for the hot and cold water taps, so I don't think there's a problem in the valves under the handles. The sprayer still works, though the switching of water to the sprayer and back when you press its handle is lagged as when you turn the water on and off.
Any ideas what could be causing this problem?

PlumbingFilter: My google-fu is failing me and need help finding directions on fixing our bathroom sink faucet. It only leaks when it's turned on and not from around the handles.
Most of the internet directions are for fixing faucets that drip all the time or stopping a leak around the fixture handles when it's turned on. Maybe my problem is like one of these two, but the symptoms are completely different and I'm not a plumber. [more inside]

A public restroom at work has a Grohe Eurosmart Faucet
(part #32709) with a 2.2 gpm aerator. According to the plumbing supply place where we bought it, the aerator is metric & therefore difficult to find a lower gpm version. Grohe customer service has not responded to my question, and my googling hasn't yielded many useful leads... So where can I get a .5 or 1 gpm metric aerator or aerator insert to fit that faucet? We're in the middle of a big kitchen remodel and have been stymied by (of all things!) the kitchen faucet decision. We've been looking at models with integrated sprayer heads that pull out from the faucet but just received a warning about that style of faucet. As a result, I find myself querying the hive mind looking for people who have this style faucet. [more inside]
