I'm looking for book recommendations for thorough, engaging, and rigorous histories of Savile Row tailoring and/or books that talk about the history and philosophy of fine men's tailoring and dress. I'm not averse to books with technical information, as well as historical and cultural information. Thank you!
Men's fashion filter: wearing a wrinkled sport coat--yea nor nay? [more inside]
I'm coming to the realization that I need to either buy a new tux or a vintage tux for my wedding. Tell me of your experiences with vintage tuxes please? Tell me of your experiences with cool vintage store in New York City please? Or some other place in the area to buy a tux that isn't a chain or a department store? [more inside]
How can I stay current on fashions for men? [more inside]
I adore the bold, crazy men's shoes and fashion of Jeremy Scott. Who else designs such deliriously delightful men's stuff at vaguely affordable prices?
I would like to buy a men's jacket like the one Stockhausen is wearing in this video. I'm not sure what the style is called. Any ideas on search terms and/or links to specific jackets for sale? The color is not particularly important -- it's all about the style.

How do I match brightly-colored casual men's shoes with various outfits? [more inside]
My fiance needs a suit for our wedding and beyond. Please help us sort through the myriad options. Special snowflake details: He wears a boys size 18 and won't really need to wear a suit after the special day but will be transitioning from a jeans and t-shirt job environment to a business casual one. Help us figure out if he should get an off the rack boys suit or an internet made to measure or if we should go somewhere in person for custom (we're in NYC). [more inside]

What men's clothing stores in the SF Bay area have salespeople who are helpful and willing to listen?
I need a fashion update. I'm in my mid forties. I know zero about fashion. Clothes bewilder me. Macy's and Nordstroms have nice clothes (I think?) but the salespeople are just kids and they don't give a rat's ass what you look like or whether they've actually helped you. In fact they're all laughing at me behind my back, obviously. Little bastards. Anyway, I need help from someone who knows what's what. [more inside]

Men's fashion advice for the stylistically impaired? [more inside]
I'm tall (6'4"), I'm skinny (195lbs), and I need a black suit jacket before the end of the day today (I have the pants, but I'll buy new ones if need be). Obviously the time constraint eliminates any kind of custom garment. Basically, I need to know what stores I should be looking at in New York City -- I like a closer, more European fit, and I don't want to break the bank. First stop is H&M, but I'm not optimistic about what I'll find there. Other suggestions?
Where to get this shirt and shirts like it. Thank you.

I'm going to be doing some outdoor travelling in Europe this summer, and I'd like to wear a hat for protection from the sun (my hair is thinning, sad to say). Are there any recommendations for hats for men that A) look good B) are not baseball caps C) won't make me look like a mountaineer? [more inside]
