Back in the 70's/80's, I remember seeing a series of scifi/fantasy books, where the cover art for all the books had a consistent theme of a red/orange sun that figured prominently. What was it? [more inside]

I read a book in the late '80s that I really enjoyed and I've been unsuccessfully trying to remember the title (or author). It was a fantasy softcover book with a purple cover. The story was set in a small village in New Forest, England. The main characters were involved in a love triangle with the two main lovers dying and being reincarnated three different times in three different centuries before having their happily ever after. Any fantasy buffs out there that can help me? [more inside]

I'm looking for a book I read as a pre-teen around 1977. It was a coming of age story about a girl who was having problems so she went to this big tree and I think she pressed against it and then went into some fantasy world where she became some kind of indian girl or primative girl and she went on adventures. I always wanted to know the name....can anyone remember this book? What I remember most was that the tree was the secret gate to moving back and forth into these two worlds. And also that as the indian, she had to live a very rustic life.
Thanks.

In the early 80's, I read a library book that featured a heroine stumbling into a parallel world and encountering chicken-legged vampires (not Baba Yaga) and their master. I can't recall the title nor author of this novel and you will earn my eternal gratitude if you can identify this work for me so that I can locate and read it again. [more inside]

A long time ago I read a fantasy book which featured several American college students entering a fantasy realm whilst playing Dungeons and Dragons (or some role playing game of similar ilk). I remember one of the main characters was a wheelchair bound guy whose fantasy character is a dwarf warrior... Can anyone help me track down the title or series of this book?

[Bookfilter] Fantasy book (or perhaps trilogy), It may have been classed as young adult (I found it in a middle school library). Main character is a member of the ruling class who are distinguished by their violet eyes. Main character goes on your standard fantasy book quest.
Can anyone remember seeing this?

Like many other geeks here, I grew up reading sci-fi and fantasy. But I gradually got tired of it, because so much of it was poorly written or antithetical to my tastes. But I still yearn for other worlds at times, so I'd be interested in recommendations. [more inside.] [more inside]
