A couple of months ago, it was around the time of Spotify's mandatory Facebook login thing, there was an article from a developer of a music app in which he told a story of basically betting everything on Facebook integration, but lost out when Facebook forged a deal with a rival app and effectively killed off his product. For the life of me I can't find the article. Can you help?

Looking for a recent article that mentions how a social network's success hinges on whether it will help get people laid. Might have been from a Facebook co-founder or about Google+, and isn't more than a month old.

Mrs. dyno04 has started getting a few clients for her photography business now, however most of the initial clients have been neighbors, friends, and family. As part of the end result she gives the clients a set of watermarked images and a set of high-resolution images. The print release specifically states that only the watermarked images can be used on Facebook. A few people have used the non-watermarked images on Facebook and she is wondering what is the best way to approach them to ask them to use the watermarked versions, keeping in mind that most of these people are people we interact with on a regular basis. She doesn't want to become "that" person that is only about making a dime.

Facebook Privacy: Is there a way to create a list of people who are able to view your profile (and all the activity on your timeline/wall contributed by others) but
without the ability to see photos you are tagged in? So that the only photos they can see are the ones you have previously assigned as a profile photo.

My favorite facebook blocker is 3 versions of firefox behind and doesn't appear to be actively updated anymore. What's more, with the latest redesign, FB has a new social plugin thing on other sites that I can't figure out how to block. What's the best way to keep facebook and its assorted APIs, plugins, sniffers, trackers and malware on its own damn webpage?

I have some questions regarding MMS charges and the Facebook Messenger app. Between it and the upcoming iOS messages in iOS5 I would like to completely eliminate my texting plan (in light of AT&T's total dick move of eliminating the $10/month text plan-which I was going to move to after iOS5). I figure between Facebook and my iphone-owning friends, family, and girlfriend I should be 99.9% covered and I'll eat the per-text charge on the 2-3 a month that may slip by. I just cant seem to find a clear answer on one point, though:

How do I deal with blog comment fragmentation? I use Twitterfeed to feed my (Blogger) entries over to Facebook, so my friends playing ant farm or whatever the hell they do on FB can read my stuff. But some people comment on the blog, others comment on FB, and I'd like the blog to be the permanent record of comments. So....is there an alternative besides manually bringing over each new FB comment to my blog (i.e. posting the comment under my own username, with a header of, like, "Shelly says......")?

Google,
Gmail and
Facebook rolled out some major redesigns recently. In fact they look quite similar to me; a bunch of random floating lists and boxes, with a dark bar at the top. What's the philosophy beside the aesthetic choices? I realize that there are technical improvements going on behind the scenes and that taste is subjective. Still, there must be some reason Google and Facebook would make major cosmetic changes. Hey designers, what's the logic?
