I just bought some interesting fabric from an enormous textile discount place. See link for crappy cellphone picture. Obviously, the pattern incorporates a logo (there is a teeny registered trademark sign inside each square), but I cannot place it. Any ideas? Someday, it will be a bag or maybe a skirt and I'd like to know who or what I'm wearing. Thanks!

Inexpensive or reasonably priced fabric (dressmakers) available online (retail). Either within Australia (or ships here - without costing a fortune!). I'm after a bit of (cotton) broderie anglaise, lycra, some cotton drill and a rayon/cotton/stretch blend to be precise but.. whatever you've got - I'll take it!

Can a black wool overcoat be made less of a lint attraction? I have a overcoat that I am about to give to the Goodwill, because it is like a magnet to lint. I can have it proffessionally dry cleaned, but in about four hours of normal use, I look like a homeless person. Is there a way to treat the fabric so it would be less likely to attrract so much lint?

I just got some of this nifty resinated chirimen fabric. The manufacturer won't tell what's in it. It hasn't darkened the fabric, doesn't leave a residue on your hands, doesn't smell. It's very pliable, holds a crease, holds a curl, keeps it from fraying. [more inside]

I would like to make custom ties, and maybe even short-sleeve button downs (think hawaiian shirts) with my own designs on them. How can I go about doing this? There are companies that do this (e.g., these guys, but they're in the UK), but I'm sure that I'll pay a big premium to do it this way. Is there a way that I can have custom fabrics printed / woven in some garment producing country (Thailand, Malaysia, Bangladesh,) and then turned into shirts based on some reference design? Are there other ways to do it? [more inside]

FabricSoftenerFilter. Will using fabric softener reduce the tendency of my clothes to pick up particulate matter from secondhand smoke? I usually avoid the stuff since I'm told the extra chemicals aren't necessarily good for you, but neither is tobacco. My wife has a lot of "hang or line dry" only clothes. I use liquid faberic softener in the wash cycle and then use one of those faberic softener sheets in the dryer too on the rest. However, her line dry clothes always seem to not feel the effects of the liquid faberic softener. Any tips for making sure her jeans aren't so crinkly? {its clean inside}
