I am looking for background on the means of production for the well known online glasses retailers (Zenni, 39dollarglasses, etc.)
How are orders fulfilled, from placement to delivery in stores such as these? It is an intriguing business, but there is little background information available for the curious.

I'm soon going on a long trip to the tropics. I wear glasses for vision correction (-2.5) and need to figure out what prescription eyewear to bring. Should I go with contact lenses or glasses? (Also considering prescription sunglasses and Transitions lenses.)

A friend of mine just got new glasses (for distance/night) and everything is super sharp... unless it's up close. Then, it's blurry. For instance, he can't read his phone at arm's length. He can read his phone perfectly without glasses and things become blurry for him without glasses at about 25 feet. I don't think this is normal for glasses. It's certainly not the way my glasses work. What say the hive?

I just bought new glasses. Yay! They are perfect, except one thing: there is a small purple stripe on each arm, and I've realized that I don't like it. I'd like to paint over the purple, with black.
