Or something extremely similar. Pictures and details inside. I've had this amazing pair of glasses for roughly 18 years. They never lose their shape and seem to be nearly indestructible. And that's why I'm scared. I'm afraid I'm going to lose them and end up with a new pair that's inferior. I never see anything similar to them anywhere. Help me find similar glasses, so I'm not up a creek without my eyewear when that terrible day comes that I can't find them. [more inside]
Today I tried on this pair of glasses & I loved them. I did not love the price tag - can you help me find them (or a very similar style) within my budget? Difficulty level: UK but happy to internet shop. [more inside]
So it's finally come to this: I need to wear prescription sunglasses while driving. I'm wearing progressive lenses in Shuron Ronsir Zyl frames, which I love. I was thinking to save money I'd get prescription sunglass lenses for just the the driving part, (distance only), not progressive lenses; then I remembered that you can get clip-ons for the Ronsirs. My question(s) is for Shuron Ronsir wearers who have the clip-ons: [more inside]

I am moderately nearsighted and currently wear glasses with a prescription of roughly -3 in each eye. I take my glasses off to read, and always have. This is not because writing appears blurry with my glasses on, but because reading with my glasses on causes my eyes to strain, or feels like it does, and it has always just felt more comfortable to take them off. Does this make me a bad candidate for contacts or corrective surgery? Do I just need to get used to reading with my vision corrected? Is this something bifocals/bifocal contacts can address?
This evening, as I was making my way home, I looked up through my glasses and noticed that the Moon was not round, but oval in shape. However, when I squinted (which brings things into focus), the Moon became round. Now I don't know if my eyes have gotten much worse in the last two years, or if the prescription I was given was wrong. [more inside]
I'm trying to get replacement eyeglasses under warranty. It's been a nightmare process from start to finish, and I'm not sure how to navigate further. More details inside. [more inside]
I used Armour Etch to repair my scratched eyeglasses, which worked a treat on the existing scratches, but now there are additional scratches that won't come out! What can I do now?
I have an order in for some new ones, but they'll take up to a week to be delivered. And I just can't deal with the blinding headache and blurriness until then. The issue: my prescription is stronger than the lenses opticians have in stock. [more inside]
Where can I find a good place to adjust eyeglass frames in San Francisco? [more inside]
I have a new pair of glasses that I like just fine. Even though the prescription is a little stronger in one eye than that of my previous pair, I've noticed that I can actually see some things better if I tilt my head back and look through my glasses at a slight angle or through the bottom of the lens. What gives? [more inside]
I just found out I need to wear eyeglasses full-time and I need help selecting frames, purchasing advice, and moral support. There are difficulty modifiers. Very special snowflake details inside. [more inside]

I just want my effing pupillary distance and I want it to be right. I want it without having to measure it myself -- I did that once and though I still use those glasses, I do worry I was slightly off. I want someone who has done it before to do it for me so I can get this number and know it's right once and for all. Ideas? [more inside]
I bought my first pair of eyeglasses recently and they look great, but after about ten days I just can't get used to them. They are sharp when I hold my phone or a book a foot from my face, but not as sharp when something is further away (like my computer screen). These are single-vision glasses so I'm not just looking through the wrong part. [more inside]
Tell me what I need to know about buying eyeglasses for the first time so I ask the right questions and don't buy things I don't need. Cost is not really a factor, though; I'd rather do this right and not skimp (and regret it later). Bonus if you can recommend a specific place to go in Milwaukee. I do not want to order online. In my friend's never-ending search for the perfect pair of frames, a friend noticed this pair and became obsessed. I want to help her find a pair as similar as possible, but they've got to be available in Canada.
I have higher-than-average myopia (close to -7). I notice most online eyeglasses makers tend to charge extra for my prescription, which is not a dealbreaker, but makes me wonder whether they are the best option for me. Do you have any personal experiences with online eyeglass orders for high prescriptions? Any input appreciated. Again, cost is not the only factor for me; I'd rather have a robust frame that lasts than a cheap one that doesn't. [more inside]
All my life, I've had perfect vision. I'm 44, and finally starting to feel like I need vision correction of some sort. Glasses? Contacts? Unlock these mysteries for me, please. [more inside]
My favorite eyeglasses had no nose pads. Neither did they have a flap on each lens frame that sat on the sides of the nose. Instead, these wireframes had a bridge which curved to sit on the top of the nose. Nothing touched the sides of the nose at all. I can't find any glasses like that any more. Is there a name for this feature, so I can Google it?
I'm an adult who needs to buy glasses for the first time. Are there good websites for buying frames online? Not sure how to shop for glasses. ... Here's another question. One of my ears has a
horrible cancerous deformity benign lump behind it that occasionally makes my sunglasses sit crooked. Is it feasible to get frames that just clamp onto the bridge of my nose? Bad idea? Can you point me to some frames that are different from the standard ear hook variety?

Looking for the best shop in Washington, DC that can put an eyeglasses prescription into vintage eyeglasses. I'd like a store that can do a good job with cost being a secondary, but important part of the picture. Prefer shops actually in DC. Let me know especially if you or a friend has ever used the shop to get a prescription into a vintage frame.

Can you help me find a clamshell eyeglass case with a pocket clip? [more inside]
I've been wearing glasses nearly my entire life, and own many pairs of prescription glasses. Since I wear glasses every day and have been doing so for so long, my various frames are as much fashion accessories as vision correction. But they pretty much just sit in hard-shell cases in my drawer, and I've been thinking that I'd like to have them displayed on my dresser in a way that lets me see all of them at once, like a jewelry display. Can you recommend a creative way to display my prescription glasses (currently 8 pairs in frequent rotation) on my dresser top? DIY and store-bought options both welcome. Complication: glasses are front-heavy, because I am extremely visually impaired, and will topple over if left open and set down themselves on a flat surface.

I know it takes time to get used to progressive lenses, but after a day with my first pair I don't know if I want to get used them. Please help me understand what will change as I adjust and what is a permanent part of living with progressive lenses. I'd like some perspective before going back to the optometrist. [more inside]
I spend most of my work day looking at a computer screen, and several of the "off" hours as well. I have been having major league headaches during the day that I think is related to my vision and the (prescription) reading glasses I've had for a couple of years. [more inside]
I am looking for background on the means of production for the well known online glasses retailers (Zenni, 39dollarglasses, etc.) How are orders fulfilled, from placement to delivery in stores such as these? It is an intriguing business, but there is little background information available for the curious. [more inside]

What eyeglass frames is (are?) Jacques Greene wearing in Azeelia Bank's "212" video? Still shot here. He's in the video sporadically at around 1:08 but doesn't deviate from the angle in the shot, so I don't know how much help the video will be.
I am looking for a pair of glasses / companies which produce eyewear which have two metal cylindrical posts as their style. Brands appreciated. I have so far been looking at Oliver People and Salt Optics but would like to broaden my research and options. Any history (who originated it)/name to this style would be appreciated! Cheaper alternatives will also be considered. Examples: 1, 2. Thanks!
