Apart from many floaters, in my central vision I sometimes get black, sort of sparkly black outs, which only appear for a second or two and diminish.

How can I find the best LASIK eye doctor in the NYC Metro region? I've just been cleared for laser eye surgery by my optometrist, and can't seem to find any sort of way of determining who is likely to blind me and and who can do an awesome job.

Does anyone know where I could order a pre-made glass/plastic sheet or a resin to coat a translucent piece of plastic or glass? Something similar to the color and tint they use on the lens of those cheesy blue blocker sunglasses.
I need to make a screen with this tint for the front of a computer monitor. Maybe there is something pre-made as well?

My 8 week old baby is starting to develop a swollen lower right eye-lid. It is starting to look like a black eye. The opthamologist thinks it is a developmental cyst, and told us just to keep an eye on it. Today, it is starting to cause her eye to close slightly. My wife is in tears. Anyone have an opinion on what is going on here, what the options are for a 2 month old, and also, what will make us not freak out.

The pediatrician says my two-week-old baby has a potential eye infection-- her left eye isn't draining properly yet. The pediatrician prescribed erythromycin ointment. Coincidentally, about three weeks ago, our cat was prescribed erythromycin for her eye infection, which is now long cleared. I still have about four-fifths of a tube. Is there any reason that I shouldn't use the cat's ointment on the baby? It seems like a waste to open another tube of the stuff.
