Ideas for Interesting Part-Time Job

Meta-Filter worked well for me recently, so I thought I’d try again. I realize that what I’m asking is probably a pipedream, but here goes. I live in Los Angeles, CA, have a day job, and am looking for ideas for part-time work, evening and weekends, that would bring in between $500 - $1000 a month. Would like to work from home, but will commute any reasonable distance, depending on pay.
I have degrees in English Literature and Photographic Illustration and have worked for software companies in the past as an “Applications Engineer” (conducting product demos only, no
programming). In addition, taught a college-level computer graphics course while earning the Photo degree.
Past part time work includes bartending and teaching bartending courses. Also worked part-time at various minimum wage ‘sales’ jobs in retail stores of interest (i.e., Radio Shack).
Any ideas? Not looking for a new career here, just creative ideas for interesting PT work to pay off some bills. Wouldn’t mind something unusual or off-beat.

I'm looking for a way to supplument my current income with $200-300 a month on top of current work. Any suggestions? I have tons of Photos that I want to sell through stock photos, suggestions? My Skills:
• Managing vendor contracts, working with vendors to resolve problems and managing vendor
projects.
• Extensive experience providing superior customer support via phone, email, in person,
and through ticketing systems.
• Computer system support, help main computer systems and software
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues including, but not limited to; Microsoft Windows
XP and Vista operating systems, Microsoft Office 2007 with a focus on Office 2003 issues,
LAN/WAN connectivity, workstation and laptop hardware components and peripherals, and
printing/fax issues;
• Set up new user accounts on domain and phone system, including all group privileges
assigned;
• Experience in setting up, maintaining and managing Mac OS X and Windows XP operating
systems.
• Experience with setting up users, modifying their privileges and setting up exchange features
in Microsoft Active Directory 2003 and Exchange 2003.
• Set up new Phone users in Cisco Call manger 4.2, Set up voicemail and phones.
• Set up content restrictions in Bluecoat web filter
• Monitor and block traffic in Cisco ASA firewall
• Designing and building web sites, in HTML,CSS and working with JavaScript frameworks
• Designing flyers, business cards and other print items in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Providing help to users in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, answering questions, and
training them in better methods to get what they’re trying to get done.

Last Sunday, the Dodgers pulled out a win against the Padres in a game that took 17 innings to finish. I remember hearing that, a couple of years ago, MLB changed the rules so that you couldn't buy alcohol after the seventh inning, perhaps to curb drunk driving. This particular game emptied out both bullpens and last 4 hours, 55 minutes. Can a brother a get a drink in extra innings?

Getting into showbiz in China

How do I get into drama, acting or TV extra work in China? I'm a foreinger from Australia and currently studying in Hangzhou for at least another 9 months and since I have more free time now I'd like to see if I can get into entertainment work and make a quick buck or at least get some experience for later on. Also, I actually find acting very fascinating.

Where can I find cycling clothes that fit my frame? I was out looking for a cycling jacket today, and I just ended up getting frustrated. I cycle about 30-50 miles a week, but I'm not, to put it mildly, built like a typical cyclist - I'm 6' 2", 270.

I'm in the process of losing as much of that weight as I possibly can in the next year, but for now I have a problem - most manufacturers' XXL sizes make me feel like ten pounds of sausage in an eight-pound bag.

So, until the day that I hit my target weight of 215-220 and can fit into "normal" sizes, do any of y'all know where (either on the Internet or in the Portland, OR area) I can find cycling wear (primarily outerwear, but also shorts as well) that is sized to fit the outsized individual?

Are there any jobs I could work from home on?

Are there any real, decent, and legit jobs I could work from home on for some extra cash? I already work from home full time doing interactive development but would love to be able to do some extra work when times are slow. I've heard of people who gather information for law firms or other businesses or do copywriting, etc etc...but can't figure out where to find those sort of things or if they'd even be worth it.

What I'm looking for here is sort of "mindless" work...."busy work", if you will.

Any ideas?

What's the best way to sell event tickets that I don't need? I was an idiot and, in a flurry of ticket-buying today, inadvertently managed to buy four tickets to an event instead of the two that I needed. (I ended up buying two tickets twice.) What's the best way to get rid of them? Selling them for face value + Ticketmaster fees is fine with me. The event isn't sold out yet, but may eventually be.

What's the best way to do this? Craigslist? eBay? Standing outside the venue holding the extra ducats aloft? Posting on my little-read blog? Bugging Matt for MetaFilter Marketplace?
