CSSfilter: Explorer's scroll bars shift my design's centered background image up or down by about ten pixels when the browser width is less than 880 pixels wide (in other words, on a laptop). Arrgh! It should look like this. Is there a better way to force a centered background image to really be CENTERED?!? [more inside]

I'm trying to come up with a generalized comic viewer using just JavaScript. I have a solution that works in nearly all browsers, but fails miserably in Internet Explorer (several versions). I don't have easy access to a Windows machine, and wonder if anyone could help me figure out what I'm doing wrong (specifically for IE). [more inside]

I love IE7's built-in RSS/feed reader. I hate, hate, hate IE7's slowness and general, overal crapiness. I would love to use FireFox, but I want the same kind of RSS reader functionality. Is there is a plugin or extension for Firefox that exists and works just like IE7's RSS reader? [more inside]

Why does IE hate my website? I've got it looking decent in Safari and Firefox, but it looks hideous in Explorer. Having done a fair amount of Googling, I've come to the conclusion that it's probably related to one of Explorer's notorious CSS rendering bugs, but my self-taught CSS and HTML is not enough to enable me to pinpoint and solve the problem. My s.o. needs help with a technical problem on his home PC: "I cannot open any eBay page on my Internet Explorer. This just started last night. I can open all other internet pages, just none related to eBay. Is there a virus that specifically prevents people from opening eBay pages? This is really frustrating, I have run virus and spyware checks and found nothing, but I cannot think of anything else that could prevent access to a certain domain. Please help."
Anybody got any ideas (besides, obviously, switching to a Mac)?

IE problem. Lately, Internet Explorer windows will sometimes not let me use the favorites menu. It will pull down but the selections won't work. The only way to solve the problem so far has been to close that window. Is there another solution?

For some reason bullets are no longer being displayed as they're supposed to, black dots. Instead they look like some arabic character. [screen grab inside]
