Determination, Will Power, and Achieving Goals

I have several goals that I have been working on for a long time, and I never seem to keep up with them. They're pretty standard - stick to my budget, develop an exercise habit, spend more time with friends and less time watching tv, etc., and I usually start out well, but fizzle quickly. How not to fall down after a slip up

The bf and I have been working on establishing healthier patterns (eating better/exercising/drinking less alcohol) and have a question about slip ups. We'll be going along fine for several weeks to a month, then go to a party or whatever, have a night of drinking and eating junk, then get off track for several weeks to a month. How can we minimize the damage from slip ups? [more inside]

I don't like to move it (move it)!

I'm about 25 lbs heavier than I'd like to be, and need information and motivation to help me get started eating better and moving more. I've previously lost a considerable amount of weight (growing up I had weight issues, and topped out at around 210. I'm a 5'6" female, and currently weigh 165) but that was mainly through very controlled eating, and while I was a smoker. I've quit smoking and now live with my boyfriend, which has led to me loosening up on my eating. In some ways that has been good, but has also led to weight gain. [more inside]
